The students had no idea what it translated to. They were not told the translation. Have you seen the original work sheet?
You’ve stopped being rational, and drunk the kool-aid. I have been a student of islam for decades. It doesn’t easily fit into your pre-conceived categories. I have studied islam, and I hate it. Islam must be destroyed. But my understanding of it is a little different than your cartoon caricature. I will be charitable and credit your extreme ignorance to lack of study and lack of personally having met many moslems, especially American moslems.
Get it through your overly thick skull. There was no attempt at conversion. Zip, zero, zilch, nada. The teacher is an evangelical Christian using a work book printed in 1995, and use across the country for 20 years.

I read the physical copy of the worksheet. It said, “Here is the shahada, the Islamic statement of faith written in Arabic, try copying it by hand.”
It identified what was being written, and what it meant. Finding the precise translation would be trivial, and in a class of students, it is very likely that the natural curiosity of students would be satisfied. From what I have read, this would be a conversion technique that would enjoy some percentage of success.
It was inappropriate. Every authority figure involved should be fired and banned from any educational role. We have some nice farm jobs for these folks. See that big pile of manure over there...?
I home schooled two sons. We gave them a solid grounding in their Catholic faith. And when they got old enough, long after they learned their catechism, we introduced them to other faiths. I have books on islam, Zen, Hinduism, Confucianism, all around the house. Standard textbooks. Not one of them required reproducing any profession n of faith.

Assertion is not the reality in your case, from what I can tell. You certainly don’t seem to have bothered reading the polling data I presented, or have learned much from it if you have.
Widespread agreement among multiple pollsters means more to me, and should mean more to most, than your anecdotes.

Sorry, but you have presented no facts. You cannot say where I support the killing of innocent moslems. In fact, I have taken a bit of heat for reminding folks that there are innocent moslems.
Yes, because you are the expert. No one else’s opinion on this matter means anything with out your approval. You’ve made your position clear - you have capitulated to the federal gov’t and will teach islam to the children of Americans regardless of what they believe.

For them to keep quiet, for them to say "religion of peace"...for them to cry oppression and discrimination is in itself another front on the war against us. The propaganda front, attempting to make us take down our guard. You seem to be part of it.
We fought a war against slavery....they are the religion of slavery. They do not belong in our society.
