Right, so as it stands, Cruz’s plan would allow free flow of jihadis into America from Europe and Trumps would not. From what I can tell I suppose.

I hope so. Cruz is already learning a lot from the elder, crusty old businessman. Cruz will be outstanding in 2020. Most people around here are impatient and short sighted and can’t see the longer view strategy of a Trump/Cruz ticket.

Have you considered what many people believe that there is a tactical alliance between Ted and Donald? Ted is a young guy with a long political future. This is Trump’s last shot in politics. Trump is a street fighter who is going to clean up the mess and leave Teddy a nice tidy American political landscape .

The problem according to napolitano is that he said ‘muslims’ - constitutionally he can’t say that because is the ‘religious clause’ in the constitution- He CAN however constitutionally say “WE need to ban ALL people fro m the middle east until we figure out what the hell is going on” There is no constitutional ban for calling for people from any nation to be banned- Especially when people from ANY nation might pose a direct threat to US citizens- Infact a president has am oral obligation to do just that- there’s only a ban on trying to ban people for their ‘religious belief’

Of course when trump or anyone says ‘muslim’ everyone KNOWS that they are referring to people from the middle east, and NOT to their religious belief (Even though islam is implicated In the violence and everyone KNOWS that!)

Cruz just introduced legislation to give states the right to reject refugees based on security concerns.

Cruz has a different approach than Trump that operates within the law. Trumps proposal violates some laws currently on the books, both state an federal.

You nailed it. Most of us like Trump and Cruz for different reasons. Others go nuts and insist one or the other, and try to drag us into antagonistic pissing contests.

Yes, for those of us who see positive attribute for both candidates, It’s the only logical solution. Many don’t consider aspects like Trump’s age and maybe he might want to retire and play golf with his kids.

No, Cruz simply recognizes (as does Trump) that he and Trump are fighting a common opposition (i.e., the GOPe and its many candidates in the primary). They certainly know that there’s every possibility that they will need (to prevail over the GOPe and its allies) the numbers of their combined delegates that each has earned through all phases of the primary campaign.

Trump and Cruz have gone out of their way to avoid criticising one other. I support Cruz but have not criticised Trump. I also find Trump a very acceptable candidate should he get the nomination.

Absolutely right. Anyone who believes Cruz could have withstood the entire GOPe field on his own and come out with the nomination is just fooling themselves. If Cruz does end up with the nomination, he'll have Trump to thank for keeping the GOPe from gaining any substantial traction during the primaries.

I have long hoped Trump and Cruz had some kind of agreement where Trump would take Ted to DC as either VP or AG.

you guys are obsessed. No way Cruz is running for VP or AG. It is only your wild dreams.
Trump won’t be the nominee, if he were he would not ask Cruz and if he did why the heck would he take dead end babysitting job?

“”I disagree with that proposal,” said Mr. Cruz...”

Why would Mr. Cruz disagree with Trump’s proposal to keep murderous, America-hating mooslims out of America. It’s a no brainer. Mooslims want to kill us. Even 25% of “peaceful” mooslims, according to the latest PEW survey, want to see violent mooslims kill Americans.

Looks to me that Ted is asleep at the switch. Yoohooo! Mr. Cruz. Wake up, buddy. We’re at war whether you want to acknowledge that reality or not. Somebody slap this guy, hard.
