“The last resort of a scoundrel.”
And scoundrels they are, in spades; cosmic, atheist, secular scoundrels.
IMHO
Leftist Judaism is a suicide cult. And no, they know nothing of Hannukah, a most unPC holiday.
Update:
Israel’s Netanyahu Rejects Trump Comments on Muslims
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3370605/posts
It's hip & cool to jump on any bandwagon where the “culprit” is a “homophobe”, “Neocon”, “Bigot” and the ever popular, “Racist” or “Right-Winger”.
Most Westerners agree with Trump, this is what they would like to do but speak it? Oh, no, no, no. We must remain open to attack with no Profiling or screening.
It took Israel 66 years to begin closing down the Radical Muslim Brotherhood in the Galilee. It took France 3 weeks to begin closing down radical mosques. It took Egypt one coup and thousands dead to close down the Muslim Brotherhood there.
Trump is no Racist but he is a bold, wild canon in American politics and both the DemocRATs and Republicans want to shut him down ASAP.
Why can't they sit back, wait a full 24 hours, see what develops and then comment?
What is this rush to judgment thing?
I am a Jew, a Conservative GoldwaterReagan/Ghingas Kahn/NRA type, I have a hard time with my knee-jerk reflex, bleeding heart, terminally ill Liberal Jewish brothers.
Israeli Jews on the other hand...
i like to read history.
if I am getting the correct impression,
Jews have a long history of internal disagreements or strife on major matters .. entire worldviews, if you will...
there have always been some Jews who drift away into paganism or what we may now call secularism.... going back to the northern kingdom especially... like pre-Babylonian-exile Israel... while the southern kingdom was more faithful....
at the end of the exile, only a minority returned to rebuild the Promised Land and Jewish society
skipping forward, Chanukkah today celebrates the Maccabean revolt against the pagan Greek acculturation... and again it was a minority of faithful...fighting as it were against the ‘reform Jews’ of that day who’d adopted the pagan way of life
(in effect, a civil war with all the hurt that usually imposes)
and skipping ahead, it was only a minority I think of Jews that were willing to fight against the Roman occupation (a tough situation, for sure), and they of course lost
and skipping ahead, it was another minority of Jews that had the courage and faith to try revolting again in 135CE (Bar Kochba)... also similar in the large Jewish community in Alexandria a few years off from that
same comment could be made for mahy German and French Jews in the 1920’s and 1930’s choosing to “go native’ and pretty much abandon most of their faith commitment in favor of taking on the modern largely-secular German culture
along with their neighbors
point being... Jews have always had their internal issues... along similar lines each time... with a major part of the Jewish community always ready to abandon much or all of their faith commitment.... and usually only a fraction of Jews keeping true to God and his moral teachings
...
it is also possible to say that there’s always been a faithful Jewish ‘remnant’, sometimes quite sizable...
that has insured the Jewish People’s survival and continued witness for God...
but I do think that the faithful Jews have not yet figured out how to deal effectively with their Quisling brothers (or ex-brothers)
or something like that.
I’ve known several of the secularist type of (ex-) Jews... best I can say for the ones I;ve known is that they “mean well” and are very intelligent.... but they lack discernable genuine faith ... and, obviously, wisdom.
intelligence is not the same thing as wisdom
you cnnnot take the intelligence out of the Jewish gene pool, I guess, ha...but the Jews that drop out from their faith commitments (or go ‘reform’...which is pretty much saying the same thing, or at least 90% of the same thing)......... they remain very intelligent but can be appalling unwise
go figure!
Wow. I am actually shocked. So much respect for the guy, and it just plummeted.
Your comparison down the Hebrew time line is impressively accurate.
I am no Torah scholar, not at all, but your pointing out the consistent threads that run through history seems true.
Jews have and have always had significant disagreements about observance of the Law, practice, loyalty and application. This is not new, it goes back to Genesis.
The key point seems to be centered around the fact that a core group, loyal to more strict observance usually survives over time.
The rest become chaff in the winds of assimilation.
Today's Orthodox Jews claim that they are the “remnant”, keeping the G-d fearing ember's burning while the other community coals cool off and die out.
There must be a minimum number of Great Torah Scholars alive & present during each epoch to maintain the Covenant with G-d.
Even though civilization after civilization tries to wipe them out, it cannot be done. Millions can be murdered but Torah lives, no matter what and in the end, those that would destroy Torah and Jews are themselves annihilated or disappear. History bears this out.
So, today's assimilated, ignorant, embarrassed, shy, reluctant and even antisemitic Jews can really only go in one direction. They may be leaders in Science, Law, Business, Government, entertainment, Medicine, research, Hi-tech, you name it, it is because they took their G-d given energies away from Torah and applied it elsewhere, in another profession or endeavor.
Many Jews are intelligent, yes but MOST lack the spiritual base. Many of these secular, ignorant and Left-leaning Jews then turn against other Jews or the State of Israel in order to show the non-Jew that he is not part of that “primitive tribe” or “Zionist Entity” but he/she has no choice really.
They can live in denial until the cows come home or sometimes, until they are loaded onto cattle cars but they cannot change a damn thing, nor impress the non-Jew with their self-loathing. They should embrace who & what they are and think about the G-d of Abraham more...
Many today are lacking what is called “Ahavat Yisrael” or the Love of Israel and that is worse now than it was say, 30 years ago.
Let me make something very clear. I do not regard what another has to say to determine what I believe to be right. I only regard what the Bible teaches and am happy when someone else is in agreement with me. Now, I know that seems a bit arrogant or whatever term one wishes to use, but it's going to be that way until I die. I respect Netanyahu, but believe him to be on the wrong side on this one.
The koran teaches in MANY passages for followers to subdue, tax and/or kill unbelievers. My father was an expert on islam and well read in the koran and on other items written on islam and told me many times before he died in the early 2000s that islam was the most dangerous religion on the face of the earth. EVERYWHERE islam becomes dominant the results have been seen throughout history and are being seen now. If people do not want to see the truth, then let them get what they deserve. If you will research, I have been calling for deportation of muslims and destruction of mosques here long before any of the recent discussion came up. I would effect such immediately were I to have the authority.
So, Trump is saying what needs to be said. No further discussion.
Yes indeed it goes back as u say even further - such as right during the exodus itself. If the direct and recent experience of the Divine and His miracles can’t prevent considerable numbers of people from reverting to paganism, nothing can. And, nobody since has figured out a good way of even communicating with that “back-sliding” element - more or less bringing them back into any sort of communion with God or their own Jewish people. They mostly stay out there by themselves chasing every imaginable false idol (socialism, progressivism, and yes sometimes the worst form of self- hating anti- semitism too — a most profoundly sad thing to observe). And it all keeps repeating from generation to generation, it is up to a fraction only to keep the Jewish (and now Christian also) people and faith alive. The biggest problem is often overcoming “the enemy within” As we see in today’s USA and much of Europe. As was said very long ago, .. Verily there’s nothing new under the sun.
The Soros Defense League gave up any pretense of being Jewish. They are now owned by a former Nazi-allied war criminal
