That happened to me, I changed jackets, because the weather in Chicago was a lot colder. I couldn’t believe I did that. What a shock. Had to pay a TSA fine. That was about it!
>>All Iâm saying is: if you donât know how to reach for something on a top shelf, or how to take out your wallet, or block some lib chick from trying to give you a waist hug, or how to bend over to pick something up, or how to keep from `printingâ so that you flash (the legal term might be `brandishingâ)
Yep. All that plus what I said in Post #25. Carrying a gun is a massive responsibility to take on. People need to realize that and learn/train on just how to carry it in addition to how to shoot it. Sadly, most don’t do either very well.
In Kansas, except in certain areas like courthouses etc. the “No Gun” signs have legal consequences for ignoring them. If the owner notices you carrying and ask you to leave you must comply or face being charged with trespass.
“If your spouse is surprised that you are carrying, then you are doing it right.”
My spouse knows I carry every where and she likes it.
>>He is a day late and a dollar short for me. I carry everywhere that I do not have to pass through a metal detector.
Me too. Since 1993. I always thought it would be really silly to be lying on the floor bleeding out unarmed while I have a safe full of guns at home.
Concealed means concealed. Some people just can’t keep their mouths shut. If you get made and asked to leave, then simply leave.
Sorta depends on what you use it for...
I'm with you. Not so great here in Texas either in the summer.
Huge difference carrying past non-compliant signage and clearly breaking the law carrying into government buildings (no carry) which some could perceive as to what Mark is saying was the point I was making.

That’s not what I meant. I meant that your concealment should be that good.
Massad Ayoob’s `Gun Digest Book of Concealed Carry’ is the best book I’ve ever read on the subject, for anyone serious about carrying every time they go out.
For example, he points out if you like IWB (inside the waist band) carry, your carry trousers are going to be about two sizes too large. If you don’t have your gun holstered, your pants won’t stay up.
Mark Fuhrman isn’t going to bail any one of us out, while Ayoob’s book might spare you the legal expenses, aggravation and criminal record.
Something's going down...

I don’t go past armed checkpoints or metal detectors with my gun. I’m not stupid. I don’t think Furman is either.
Carrying is easy no matter what the weather I also carry a rather large .40 without fear of discovery All you need is the right purse!
If you’re afraid, don’t carry.
Bump
I figured, just being glib ;)
Consider - at the same time Obama is trying to import into the country 100,000 of the most violent, homicidal people on earth he is also trying to disarm law abiding citizens. Not to hard to figure out what his goal really is.
Didn't say you were or did, but some 'newb' with his freshly printed CHL Permit might take it the wrong way is all.
As others have said, wonder if they do know something they aren't telling us? There is no telling how many lone jihadis are sitting around waiting for the "go" signal.
This is sound advice... NO ONE knows you are carrying CONCEALED when you CONCEAL your piece! No Metal detector? No problem! Move about in a normal fashion! Your security is within reach when and IF some Jihadi starts yelling ALLAH SNACKBAR!
For hot weather carry I’ve found that I can run some Perry suspenders under a tee shirt to hold up a sturdy pair of shorts with deep pockets containing a Springfield XDS .45.
Put an oversize Hawaiian/Mexican-type shirt over that and you can manage a belt holster as well.
Or hammer some 3/8” grommets into a Bianchi gun belt and I can use `cowboy suspenders’ with metal hardware in colder weather.
My father, a two tour combat vet, told me once, “It’s a shame that you have to do that ... (carry)” and I replied that, yeah, it is too bad.
`No country for old men’ I suppose but you do what you have to do.
