I blame it on bullet proof vests. Once they thought bullets would bounce off them, there was no limit to what they thought they could get away with.
Be interesting how they would howl if they were limited to one speed load for a Model 19 Smith as a service weapon.
NO ballistic armor. Suddenly, it would matter to their personal survival if they defuse a situation.
Get rid of Tasers so they can't torture old drunks to leave town. (This is a popular LEO trick to chase away the homeless. Another is a strait jacket, cinched until they can't breathe.)
24/7 body cams, with an automatic 20 years mandatory if they tamper with them.
Mayberry loses it's SWAT team, and all their toys. No more no-knock drug raids by local yokels with SWAT tags on their body armor, the ones who can't find the correct address.
Bright orange uniforms, no more ninja cargo pants.
These goofs don't see that the times are changing, and despite the fact that it was fun to belong to an occupying army with no ROEs, those days are ending.
It's fun to know that EVERYONE, Conservative, RINO, and dim-witted Lib, hates the JBTs. Read any comments section, nationwide. And, it's 100% their own fault.
Although I'm pretty much convinced that you're posting from a loony-bin, I will address your points for the benefit of other lefty loons who might stumble upon this thread via a google search or something.
No body armor for police -- with a few exceptions (convicted felons, some states require a face-to-face transaction to buy), anyone can purchase body armor. To suggest that cops shouldn't have access to a basic form of protection that any citizen is (rightfully) entitled to own, is both leftist and crazy.
Police limited to Model 19 S&W with one reload -- again, with a few exceptions, any citizen can (rightfully) acquire more firepower than that. To suggest that the 2nd Amendment shouldn't apply to cops is leftist and crazy.
No Tasers -- Once again, except in a handful of the most draconian states, anyone can buy a Taser. As for the rest of your screed against Tasers and straitjackets, I assume you speak from firsthand experience?
Body cameras -- I think any good police officer wouldn't mind having a body cam on, but bear in mind it cuts both ways -- they'll have to throw the book at you every time, rather than letting you off with a warning.
SWAT -- I'm sure it varies by state, but in my state most SWAT teams are operated via regional consortiums, i.e., a town signs up, provides support, and then falls under that region's SWAT team operational zone in the event that a SWAT team is needed. Long story short, most towns (again, in MY state) don't have their own SWAT teams.
Bright orange uniforms and no more cargo pants -- Why orange? And why no cargo pants? Do extra pockets offend you?
"It's fun to know that EVERYONE, Conservative, RINO, and dim-witted Lib, hates the JBTs."
Projection isn't reality.
One more thing -- you appear to be laboring under the impression that I'm a cop. Not only am I not a cop, nobody in my immediate or extended family is a cop. Shocking, I know, that somebody who isn't a police officer could fail to hate the police as much as you do, but, whatever.
Isis jihadists after they come to America?
Obozo and his thugs sold or gave these military vehicles to American police/law enforcement departments for years.
Now, when it looks like Trump might be president, they are taking these military vehicles back.
Why?
So, when Isis attacks America, will they end up with these military vehicles, like they did in Iraq?

Wouldn’t trust the sumbritch either way.
