Can you explain why requiring proof of a (lying) assertion you made is “politically moronic?”

No...?

Forget it. We both know you painted yourself into a corner in a moment of stupidity. I’ll let you off the hook. Go hug your Trump poster.

Cruz has also been getting tutored by Sessions for some time now.

Not a long time. Cruz has started working with Sessions after he saw the success that Trump had with the Session plan on immigration. They are now working together on the issue.

His illegal immigration plan has a multiple points said there is to be no path to citizenship ever.

A path to citizenship is just the cherry on top. Being allowed to stay and work here, i.e., amnesty, is the object of their crime. And frankly, if Cruz was ever to get legalization without a path to citizenship, the courts would overturn it and the Dems would have a huge issue to club the Reps over the head. And the costs of legalization would be $6.3 trillion if there are only 12 million.

So far as how many legal immigrants his plan will prevent from entering the US, I would say that it will prevent some. I believe I’ve read recently that over half of current legal immigrants access the welfare/social net system. One of Cruz’s amendments to the CIB required his H1B business visas to have something like a million dollars. I’d have to go read it again, but it was a poison pill amendment, so it was rejected.

Cruz is not a legal dummy. He knows what he’s doing. He has been consistently supporting H1B visas and he knows it, although he said it was based on research showing the H1B visas provided 2 or 3 jobs for each visa. I think he said recently he is relooking that.

Bogus study that is well-known to us in the immigration field. I won't go into it here, but the Chamber of Commerce has been pushing it for some time. It was disappointing to hear Cruz regurgitate it.

I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt....apparently, Trump is, too.

I welcome his conversion. It remains to be seen if Cruz can catch on with the average voter or attract Dem voters in the general election. Trump has proven more adept at that. Cruz is the smartest and most articulate candidate of any in the race, Rep or Dem, but that doesn't always translate into electoral success.

When Trump made his announcement speech I wrote down point by point the positions he took. He was saying exactly the same thing as Ted Cruz. I pointed that out here at FR. It puzzled me why Trump was running instead of supporting Cruz. The only things that Cruz supported that Donald left out were religious liberty and abolishing the IRS.

Inaccurate and pure propaganda for them to say Cruz never talked about building a wall.

It’s sort of like trowing enough crap against the wall in hopes their BS will stick.

These are Sessions/Cruz initiatives in 2014, before Trump even announced. IIRC, that announcement was about May/June, 2015:

Folks need to be reminded that without Ted Cruz taking the stand that he did, amnesty would already be the law of the land. Both Mark Levin and Rush have pointed that out in the last two weeks.

It’s a tactic typical to liberals, too. When losing, attack, insult and then run. Sad to see FReepers adopt it.

Trump speaks ad nauseum about his plan to deport and force the illegals to also self deport. You are trying to tie Ted Cruz to an immigration plan that he does not subscribe to.

Never has Cruz said “They have to go back. They have to go back and then can apply to return legally” Cruz does not talk about a deportation force. Cruz does not give an 18-24 month time frame for deporting the illegals.

Cruz is not going to deport anybody.

Cruz’s immigration plan is not the same as the Trump plan except in your mind.

The TRUMP - O - ROMMA YUUGIE KOOLAID is mighty potent tonight for the Trump Koolaid drinkers.

What you say ?

The proceeds from YUUGIE TRUMP high energy KOOLAID will be used to build special high end : TRUMP LUXURY SYRIAN RESORTS in Syria ?

And the cost of building them will be stuck with the tax payers ?

MY MAN TRUMP !

WAY TO GO “ DA DON “ .

I admire his boldness for chumping the tax payers with the SYRIAN REFUGEE TRUMP LUXURY RESORTS.

Those delux REFUGEE RESORTS will surely have Trump’s name on them.

My man Trump, making a buck , making mo money mo money mo money off of the American tax payer.

I admire his boldness.

I trust Trump to do what he says he will do. Cruz well not so much. I like Ted but he will not deport these people. He thinks they are all going to self deport. With Trump announcing his round up they will self deport in droves. The ones that don’t will be be rounded up. They have to go.
