How do you know is is positive just because someone is mentioned in a social media post? Isn’t it just as likely to be something negative from someone who is ridiculing them?

Before the post-debate polls come out, social media activity is the best measure of debate performance.

If they could lock Cruz in a separate room they would. When he opens his mouth good sense comes out.

Would agree...and Rand Paul had his very best performance of his candidacy career.

I agree with - Cruz stood out last night. Some others did well, but Cruz was eloquent.

Well we all pick and choose what polls to discount, but the fact still remains he is leading in that one. Social media can also be manipulated.

The low-pollers were too desperate and the high-pollers played it too safe.

The mid-polling candidates were just right, like Goldilock’s porridge.

Eloquent and brilliant.

It’s so nice to see that intelligence and civility have been returned to these debates.

Kudos to the FOX team of moderators!!

Astro turf. That’s right. That poll means largely nothing.

You are right. I’m going to dial it back a bit on him now that I’ve gotten it out of my system. Thanks for the chastisement

No, I don’t pick and choose them. This far out, I don’t put much stock in polls, period.

Although you make your point that we pick and choose what we dismiss by touting Trump’s “win” in a spammable internet poll, and discounting social media (which I don’t think Trump even does).

Look, let’s be honest. Trump didn’t speak much last night. There’s no way he can be said to have won.

The problem with Rubio is his answers are segments of his stump speech that he has repeated a thousand times. I’ve noticed he often launches in on these segments without regard for the fact that they have nothing to do with the question.

Fiorina is a bit too aggressive. Her attempts to filibuster the debate really should be shut down by the moderators.

Kasich is both hard to listen to and hard to watch. He looks like his upper lip has been super glued to his teeth.

I agree. Like I posted upthread, when people started crowing that Trump had “won” halfway through the debate and using the poll to shore up their point, any credibility at all went down the drain.

Rubio is regurgitating parts of his stump speech that often have no relevance to the question he is asked. Folks that don’t know that think he is articulate.

It is time for the candidates, especially Rubio and Carson, to be called out on their support for illegal immigration and TPP.

What is it with Kasich and that twitching upper lip? After he finishes yelling and gesticulating, he stands back with that lip just doing its dance.

“Its getting comical, listening to the chattering classes spinning furiously trying to influence in the immediate aftermath of these debates, only to be completely contradicted the next day by the masses.”

Yeah, I really enjoyed being told by “someone who considers himself smarter than the rest of us (a FBN contributor),” that Carson won the night with Fiorina coming in second! I guess it is inescapable that the media types have their “marching orders” from their higher ups and the GoPee, but they are looking like “Baghdad Bob” at this juncture. It’s funny to see what someone will do for an undeserved paycheck today.

He was “winning” 5 minutes into the debate last night which says something about people voting for what they wanted to believe rather than voting on any rational standard.
