Then I apologize.

But the reality is that campaigns cost big money now and if he needs to lock up Walker's voters by hiring this guy then so be it. In fact, he's learned from past failures by not spending his money too quickly and building the best grass roots organization probably seen since 1980.

Great thing about Cruz is he's not going to run to the middle if he gets the nomination like most post-Reagan have done.

Worry not. This is a shrewd move by an excellent candidate to start farming the 3-5% candidates voting blocks. This will help in Iowa for sure.

Very good point. Republicans are still the minority party nationwide and any GOP presidential candidate needs a number of independents and Democrat votes plus they need a unified Republican Party to have a chance. I grew up in eastern Connecticut, a heavy Democratic and very blue collar part of that state. The presidential candidate who generated the most enthusiasm when I was growing up was not Jimmy Carter, George McGovern, Walter Mondale, or any other Democrat besides JFK. It was Ronald Reagan. He appealed to that blue collar element with his love for country, working Americans, and sensible values that emphasized what made America great. Don’t think every Democrat out there is a kook or happy with their party’s extreme leftward turn. It’s just they look at the other side of the aisle and hear mush from GOPe candidates and figure what’s the difference between any of them, and keep voting Democrat. Look at the crowds that Trump is receiving out there. No doubt there are some Democrats in those audiences. Even if Cruz wins the presidency he’ll probably have a number of establishment types in his cabinet and in administration positions all over DC. Let’s not worry about that now. We need to Cruz or Trump over the finish line and deny Shrillary and Billy another chance to be in the White House again.

Walker’s advisers spent all his money with little effect, not good.
