Concur. While I have no love for the Egyptians, they and the Jordanians are about as good as it gets over in that region.
Israel made peace with Egypt after the 67 war..Sharm Al Sheikh used to belong to Israel, my Mom used to visit there as a child, but for peace we gave it to Egypt..so its good to have Egypt as an ally to fight these Hamas dirt bags

Trump could sign an executive order directing any number of Federal agencies to immediately secure both the southern and northern borders in like manner, and there would be no constitutional crisis involved.
Nor would he require “congressional approval” before doing so.
It's up to the executive branch of government to determine how they will physically act to faithfully enforce the laws already on the books...

Egypt under Al Sisi appears more sane/stable than Turkey under Erdogon.
What with France and Germany openly lusting for an alliance with Iran, I have no problem with a USA exit from the no longer valid NATO... National alliances shift.
Al-Sisi is not exactly the image of tolerant democracy, but in that part of the world, a benevolent semi-dictatorship is maybe what is needed to give them a chance to evolve toward an appreciation of liberty and freedom…… and responsibility. In the American experience, the idea of liberty did not suddenly occur to people in the late 1700’s, it developed over a long period of time.
