Cruz is over Trump, I'm just saying I don't know why voters have elevated Carson into the top 2 when he is totally unqualified and unprepared for the job, other than that he can quote Bible verses.
I think Carson would be borderline incompetent as commander-in-chief. I think his seventh-day adventist pacifism has already led him to have some really stupid ideas such as that we could have avoided going into Afghanistan after 9/11. Trump's message on the military is similar to Reagan's and I think he'd be very good in that role.
Trump has mainly said about health care that he wants to break down the state-line competitive barriers. Also that government involvement would be limited to protecting the insured if their insurance company goes bankrupt. As President, he's not going to have a huge role in drafting something health care legislation. Ultimately we're going to see a bill that is what the Republicans in Congress want. Hopefully like Trump did for immigration, he hooks up with somebody like Jeff Sessions to write a specific policy.
As far as immigration, I don't think there is a candidate talking about restricting legal immigration lower than it currently is except Santorum, and he has no chance to win the nomination.

The problem with military intervention (as opposed to declaring an all-out war and fighting to win it as fast as possible) by the U.S. is that one administration is followed by another, often of a different party. As we’ve seen time and again, the following administration reverses course with all the gains made flushed down the toilet along with thousands of American lives that were sacrificed for those gains.
I think you underestimate Dr. Carson’s abilities overall, and I suspect that if he did decide the U.S. had to intervene militarily under his administration, he’d do so decisively because it wouldn’t be a decision easily arrived at. Once made, he’d commit to it just as he has with his other endeavors, including running for President.
In reality though, you never really know how any President will handle the military under his control until he’s faced with the need to use it. Since WWII, it’s been handled very poorly, except by Reagan, who understood the need to outbuild the Russians at the time, a hugely successful effort that lost no lives in the bargain. Even Bush I, by failing to finish the job, set up his son for his own Iraq quagmire.
The other little problem with your logic is that Hillary is beating Bernie in the polls even though he is drawing crowds.
Trump is drawing crowds and leading in the polls. Big difference. But thanx for playing. :-)

No argument there. Sounds like you want to change the subject from big crowds to polling now?
Trump is drawing yuge crowds and polling number one. A winning combo. :-)
