Hey Tony, you stupid little M’effer. The jobs will open up for high school kids looking to work for college. Or maybe retired people who would like to eek out a living since you bastards in the Nor Loch have stolen all the money out of the SS lockbox that was never locked.

Anthony B. is quite full of himself on just about any subject he should care to discuss. He may be right, to some degree, about the number of illegals employed in restaurant kitchens. It will vary widely by city but my son and daughter are/were both in the industry as managers and had plenty of Spanish-speakers, supposedly legal, but what’s a little paper, right?

If Trump’s plan became reality and many chose to self-deport and abandon jobs, those jobs would eventually be filled because nature abhors a vacuum. Costs in restaurants might go up, various construction tasks would require more money (thinking roofing and masonry work in my area), some manufacturing might be affected. We’d work through it and it wouldn’t be the disaster Tony thinks.

Let me get this straight.

American citizens should put up with illegals BECAUSE elites want to eat in nice restaurants. Nice places that keep their profits high on the backs of illegals while the rest of us eat cardboard frys at McDonalds so fast food employees can be paid $15 an hour?

Yeah, right.

Get illegals OUT of my county. Let someone else do without so the friggin' elites have a better go of it.

Hillary and liberal elites get the gold - American citizens get the shaft? No Way Jose. Send them home - all of ‘em.

one of my first jobs at 15 -16 years old was washing dishes and busing tables. at that time full time students could be paid up to 15% less than minimum wage...which is what I received.

I watch many cooking/restaurant shows.
It’s amazing, almost all shown have a full cooking staff of Hispanics, likely Mexican as most know so little English they can’t take orders.
Illegals cooking French, Irish, American, Cajun, Chinese.
I will love to see them fired, sent packing.

As far as Bourdain, I’ve never thought much of him. How he has that TV show is beyond me.

What Anthony Bourdain is basing his comment on, are his connections with a huge number of cooks in his world wide ventures. These are cooks that have mastered homespun ingredients and techniques and have brought them to the kitchens of restaurants in their countries. Some have come to world renowned restaurants. Bourdain has been fortunate to sample much on the streets and in the homes of people in faraway lands. In this context, I can understand Bourdain who would want people in America to experience such cooking. And they have. Many immigrants, both legal and illegal have brought their native specialties into our nation’s restaurants. If these restaurants valued these foreign chefs, they would work to get these illegal chefs work permits and put them on the road to citizenship. Otherwise, Bourdain has no case.

An old, old friend of mine has owned a local diner for about 40 years, he’s from Greece but is a naturalized, proud of it, U.S. citizen. He refuses to hire Mexicans, he’s really pissed at the illegals, having gone to great expense and studying for citizenship himself.

So restaurant owners are running their restaurants on the backs of illegal aliens? Dare we say exploiting illegal aliens?
