No winners here. The suspect I understand has no criminal record, no violence in her background, yet witnesses said the incident seemed intentional. I would guess she has mental issues. Btw, what is the alleged drug she was on? I heard initial reports say she was arrested for DUI but then nothing else reported.
Right, from the “mental health” problems angle she’ll be sent free.
Screaming for help and took others with her, including a 2 year old little boy..the look on her face after the crash shows a woman with ZERO remorse, heck she even looks pleased with herself. Witnesses said that she accelerated as she was getting close to people she never once attempted to even stop
People are not dogs. Dogs are owned, humans are not. What do you propose people with mentally ill family do? Mentally ill does not mean violent or dangerous.
My guess is that she was on Xanax with some alcohol.
I read this story on Daily Mail and two different families ( in response) had a mentally ill family member......and said it is extremely hard to get them committed.....they sounded very credible.
Donald Trump has been saying the same thing...
When the media corner him on gun control.....he replies that there are mentally ill people who need institutions and our government keep putting them on the streets.....He’s right!
If it wasn't drinking or drugs, it's obvious she did this on purpose.
The question is, what in this world is bothering her so much that she would attempt to take her own life, and failing that several times, ensures she is going to jail for the rest of her life ?
What could it be ?
It could have been an extreme low blood sugar. But it would have been obvious at the arrest.
Many mental illnesses are hereditary. I have known several families where it is present in several generations, and none of the families would acknowledge it. Always the family secret that stays in the closet.
A community of people knew she was hospitalized with mental illness, INCLUDING THE COPS, and including her psychiatrist and the hospital, close friends and family. They are all of equal knowledge that cops were called on suicide attempts.
They can not be held to standards of negligence when the law no longer permits insane individuals to be committed by family, or even the community as they used to.
To some extent the commitment laws in the old days were abused by the nefarious family, or legal guardians, so it was changed to only voluntary commitment by the individual themselves.
Thus you have the poor and hungry on the streets muttering to themselves today, and some of them eating out of shelters or their hands out on the corners.
Then why not charge he with Capital Murder as they do in Texas when a person ran his car into a crowd and killed?
Might have...
Getting the talking points out early and giving her lawyer a door to walk through.
My guess is no alcohol, no Xanax.
THe only drugs her system will have in it are the anti-anxiety meds she might have been taking for repeated SUICIDE attempts.
Don’t ya wonder why she wants to kill herself ?
I am surprised you , as a female (I assume) , aren’t making the connection. Or maybe you have, I can’t tell.
I don’t know what the unspecified guesses upthread are,
but if my guess is the same, it’s something you don’t
want to announce permaturely.
One report is she hadn’t slept in the previous 3 days.
A murder-suicide is probable, at least based on what we know now.
You had a very informed source and nailed all of this to the wall.
No alcohol, no drugs, is hard to accept at this level of tragedy hoisted on so many others.
Sad event for all. I’d bet the rent, based on what has been reported, no violence, no criminal record, she has deep mental or possibly medical issues which suddenly surfaced. I know of cases where cops were in actual pursuits, ending in collisions, of individuals who were only guilty of having serious medical issues. I would be interested to find if indeed a particular illegal or pharmaceutical drug was in her system.
Thanks.
The girl has repeatedly made suicide attempts, so it's not a lawyer supplied talking point.
It is irrelevant if she was or was not on drugs.
She intentionally murdered children.
She should be charged with Capital Murder.
