Note to Sen. Lindsey Graham:
The reason you are losing is we have been paying attention to them and to you. You are actually so much worse than them that there is no comparison. Think about that. Go home. Sleep on it. And then drop out of the race in the morning. You are losing because we know you.
The reason? The Republican party, in the last several elections promised to be completely conservative and oppose Obama and the democrat's agenda, and after the elections, did not.
That's it in a nutshell. You might say otherwise, but that is a VAST perception in the conservative fly-over country that is America.
In 2010 you Republicans wrestled away the House from the democrats in a landslide election. Did you not think we—the voters—gave you that victory so you could take a break, and go along to get along?
You told us in 2014 you couldn't do it with the House alone, you needed the Senate, too. You promised that once you won the Senate, you would be a conservative, anti-Obama/democrat dynamo. So we voted for you, again, flipping 10 seats, a historical mandate but from you, after the vote, business as usual.
In the presidential years, you shun the more conservative, and flood the primaries with enough RINOs to split the vote ten ways to Sunday, and you've given us Romney, McCain, Bush, Dole, and Senior Bush. That's a whole generation. Of these only George W. was halfway conservative. Note this: He won, all the others LOST.
And we remember a time—only a decade ago!—when the White House and both bodies of Congress were Republican controlled and led, yet the federal government grew, and the deficit grew with it. So we're still a little unhappy about the lost opportunities there. We look back and see how you snookered us.
We applauded your tough stance on terrorism, but never believed Islam was the “Religion of Peace” nor building democracies out of poorly run 3rd world hell holes would work well.
Senator Graham, moving to the middle doesn't win like your advisers tell you. If you too believe that, then you're all wrong. If they tell you to be more conservative, but you are not, well, we notice that, too. When you pledge to do conservative things, and then vote the opposite, we certainly notice that AND REMEMBER. We keep track of how you vote. Other, low information voters might not, but we do. And then we share that information. Here on Free Republic, for example.
My advice: BE A CONSERVATIVE. If you make the voters a promise, keep that promise or DIE trying. If you can't be a conservative than say so, but don't piss on our leg and tell us it is raining.
Liberal
I live in SC...I don’t get it either. No Democrats really run here. The primary is all about Republucans. Some names come up, but Graham’s name is too well known. Contenders get no air time and his ads flood us saying what a “conservative” he is, a total lie. I don’t know why people fall for it.
The fag doesn’t get it. The irony.
Because you are a moron, Lindsay. You were good at fooling the people in South Carolina to get your Senate seat. Sadly, you are a boob. Please, for the love of God, go away.
This is satire, right? Lin-Lin isn’t really that stupid, is he?
Poor Lindsey. It’s hard to go through life with no self awareness - just pure overblown ego which imagines itself superior, all knowing and perfect. It’s an act and personality that is hiding something.
When Trump was asked if he has any flaws or weaknesses he said that he does, but that he’s not going to give the enemy inside knowledge on that, which they will then use against him in various ways in the future.
No one has asked Lindsey what his weaknesses are and if they did he’d be clueless. He’s mean, bitter. Hanging out with McCain for all these years has a lot to do with it. If he were a child and I was his mom, I would steer him clear of that friendship.
If I recall right too many people ran as tea party last time canceling each other out. Hate to say this but the tea party is a mess. They never had a chance to beat this turd. Lee Bright and Nancy Mace were the two best candidates and squabbles between the camps ensured Lindsay the nomination.
