I was just wondering who was paying this guy to act like a douche? I would gladly meet him somewhere so I can make him eat his words. He's a disgrace of a father. You don't allow the left or any political group to use your dead child as a political prop. That's for pieces of shit like Cindy Sheehag.

What then?

I wasn't supporting the repeal. My post was mean as an "in your face" to those who have contempt for the Amendment.I was saying,in essence,"there's not a snowball's chance in hell that you'll repeal it so STFU!"

The most sensible thing to do would be to ban liberals from having access to guns.

Not only at the mercy of armed criminals, but at the mercy of a renegade government like we have now!

They really, really, REALLY want to start a civil war. Don’t these people understand that media and politicians are targets in a 4th Generation War? Don’t they understand that MILLIONS will die? Don’t they realize it is WE who have the guns, and that WE will be peaceable right up until they try to disarm us, at which point, it’s ON?!

I never watch TV news, but for some reason it was on, and they started the intro to this bit, and before they even got past the intro it was obvious they were going to use this as a propoganda piece to attempt to influence folks for gun control.... Switched the channel... How anyone can watch what they pass off as “news” and not realize it for the tripe it is beyond me.

Forgive me FRiend, I had no intention of suggesting that you supported the repeal, not at all, and I'm sorry it came across that way. I was merely amplifying on your obviously sarcastic comments about how easy it would be to repeal the 2nd, and pointing out that, should the idiots manage to accomplish this, it would not be the panacea they dream for.

I understood exactly what you meant, and I agree with you. I was not clear enough about that.

They apparently believe that they can control the action and information flow, and that they will be mostly protected or immune from the results minus a few [unwilling] martyrs to the cause. I disagree with them, because of the points you raised and others, and I agree with you that if they really do press the point many will perish. I find it curious that they find their stated goal worth the potential death of thousands, perhaps millions. It reveals much about their unstated goals in my opinion.

Those he threatens to make war against, who really just want to be left alone and to have the government respect their liberty and the laws protecting that liberty, live among him and his allies. As the old adage goes, one side has to get lucky every time; the other side need only get lucky once. Odds to draw to?

It also appears that they have no understanding of the linkage among the various parts of the Bill of Rights. They think their precious First Amendment will continue to stand, come what may. I guess their ability to understand metaphors is somehow inhibited when they attend movies like “The Hunger Games.”

All those that want to repeal, change or edit the Constitution please line up on the left. Now please in an orderly fashion proceed onto the transport ships for a one way passage out of here, please “Do not pass Go, do not collect one single more dime from the taxpayers”, AMF.

They don't understand at all; they only want what they want, and do not feel constrained by the law (though they expect the rest of us to be). As for the First Amendment (and all the rest, from what I can tell) they only like it if THEY are the ones benefiting it; they wish to restrict US from its protections.

I see nothing good coming from any of this. They will not stop, ever, and we're being pushed up against a wall.

****“Virginia’s going to be the model for 2016 for the rest of the country,****

Remember thirty years ago when Handgun Control Inc said the same thing about Florida? Didn’t work out.

Remember 1982 when Handgun Control Inc was trying to get Prop 15 passed in California to ban handguns? A sure win! Voters rejected it.

And then there is THIS LIE we have been fighting since 1962.

“the first thing I would do would be to impress upon the people that are pro-gun that we’re not trying the take their guns away”

Oh yes your are.

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc.

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the POSSESSION of all handguns and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — TOTALLY ILLEGAL”.

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

HCI, around 1984, came out in favor of a ban on semi-auto rifles and shotguns.

Les see, almost 40 post and so far not a word about the common denominator in virtually ALL of the shootings- MEDS that carry side effect warnings of Suicide and even Homicidal tendencies. Not a word.

It’s ALWAYS the GUN that did it.
