I couldn’t get more than about three paragraphs into this dime store novel. One of our local papers has a writer who churns out tripe like this. His name is Andrew Dys, but we just call him Dystopian.
Jeb and Rubio might be okay with it also.

Good story. I’m guessing that John Pate somehow avoided the draft and military service. Had he served, he might have developed the necessary radar to sense danger, be prepared and sidestep the killers with the knives.
