Thank you for your message, you touch on a Crucial aspect of dumbing down the populace...

Whole Language...

Essentially no more phonics and such stuff, they are learning a core vocabulary of about 2500 words by recognizing the word patterns regardless of order...

It has been proven that we have a limited capacity in this realm and this is why it was chosen...

They teach our children the Approved vocabulary and nothing else, and not to understand it...

Just respond when commanded...

Immediately please make sure these necessary foundations are given to them ASAP

God Bless

I taught my daughter all that and much more, when she started Kindergarten many of the kids were still grunting...

“Judging by the opposition of unionized teachers to Common Core, I’m in no rush to condemn it.”

Using this one criterion only as a basis to accept or reject Common Core is a mistake.

Ya think?

I have one question: is Khan Academy able to successfully teach math via Common Core?

I know Khan did it before Common Core; I want to know what Khan thinks of it now that he has incorporated it in his curriculum.

Trouble is, I wouldn’t trust even Sal Khan to tell the truth if he has too much skin in the CC game.

No one can...

In my estimation it may be higher order shorthand for some but 1+1=2 in math...

maybe they are thinking 1 beaker of water plus 1 lump of Magnesium

After the magnesium burns off you are left with ... 1

Twisted pretzel Logic, used like folks use “jargon” but more a game...

Confusing to the mind until you “get it” and now you have been successfully programmed!!

Yet another and more devious projection of early intervention in the guise of “for the Children”

They start as early as possible to replace the bonds naturally stretched into self at around age 5 so children “accept” the authority and the “building” we go to enforcing order and compliance, as we cannot be entrusted to our parents who may not “get it”

Sorry for the rant, the infiltration of the Educational system top to bottom left to right is a diseased carcass out of touch with the inherent nature of the Beast, or worse, using it against us...

I’m going to the parent-teacher conferences Monday
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This is a complete waste of time for any parent. The government schools do what they do. It's like yelling, “Stop!” at a tsunami.

You’re right; I don’t use it as the sole criterion. I simply said I hesitate to condemn it. There is not one single issue on which I agree with the teachers’ unions (immigration, abortion, divorce, homosexuality), so I think people should consider why they oppose this.

The fact is that it exposes the fraud they’ve perpetrated on us for decades.
