BS- Daniel Webster and Chaffitz were running when deflated Boehner decided to stop the vote in the Caucus because his pet Monkey McCarthy withdrew from consideration.
If Ryan doesn’t get in, the RINOS will threaten, OK...We’ll reach across the aisle.

When other members of Congress have resigned their notice appears in the Congressional Record. I haven’t found such a notice for Boehner, although there are comments from other Representatives regarding his resignation. I am concerned that he hasn’t provided official notice of his resignation and is instead playing us.
The way things are going with Boo Hoo Boehner, Meadows is going to have to do his thing with his resolution to get Boo Hoo out. It said in part: “The resolution declares that Boehner has “endeavored to consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority of the 435 members of Congress and the people they represent.” Looks to me like this is still going on.
I’m not sure exactly the status of the resolution, but I think Meadows can re-file the legislation as ‘privileged,’ meaning that Congress would have to hold a vote within a few days.
Sigh.

Obviously nobody is eager to step up, as the job description is pretty much that of punching bag, both from the Current Regime, and from most of the conglomeration known as the Republican party.
In the spring of 1932, George and Ira Gershwin’s Broadway musical, “Of Thee I Sing,” spoofed Washington politics, including a vice president named Alexander Throttlebottom, who could get inside the White House only on public tours. The tour guide, who failed to recognize Throttlebottom, at one point engaged him in a discussion of the vice-presidency:

We need to ALL encourage Meadows to refile this resolution, then. In light of this latest situation.
