Try spending time in Crete, it’s twice as bad there.

Every British supermarket has dozens of different varieties of toilet paper, of every conceivable texture and thickness. There is no ‘British style’ of toilet paper, and hasn’t been for about 50 years.

Yep. That colored toilet paper (to match the bathroom) used
to be the thing. I can’t remember us ever buying it. I
guess we just got the cheapest thing offered. - I don’t
know how I survived the Sears & Roebuck catalog; just used
one sheet. - Daddy put lime in the toilet when he built it;
that helped a lot. In fact, I sort of didn’t mind the smells
of the outdoor toilet. - Now, I’m spoiled to my Squatty
Potty & Charmin. How easily we get soft!

When I traveled through Europe, including the former Iron Curtain countries, for my amusement, I took samples of spare toilet paper for a collection. Not only was it bad, textured and meager, it was also frequently not available.

My husband used to only buy cheap toilet paper. Then I had him do a sample test of various brands. Now he only buys the top two. And when he visits bachelor friends, he notices how abrasive or thin, the type of TP they stock.

AS a prepper, I have stored toilet paper. My husband actually looked up the word for a person who is afraid of running out of TP.

Now it looks like we will be living abroad in Panama, and I mentioned that I wanted to bring toilet paper. He squashed that notion. We shall see...

Here is a bit of trivia. The number 1 sales item sold at Costco is their toilet paper.

And when I used to belong to Costco, I noticed that dog food was the second most purchased item I saw in people’s carts.

315 power devices, like adapters

Doesn’t the UK use 220v, not 110v like us Americans?

Uh oh
