Read his books and you will see substance galore.

He's operating according to a strategy that seems to work for him.

You may not see it--I didn't at first--but he's not ahead for nothing.

Look, I was raised on Yiddish humor and Jewish comedians

All of us who grew up after the advent of TV grew up on Yiddish humor and Jewish comedians. What a wonderful era.

That's not only what Trump is evoking...that's who he is.

He is running to appeal to middle America, sometimes class clown, all the time poking a stick in the establishment’s eye. Is he presidential? What, precisely, is presidential?

No, Mr. President.

That's not a very classy thing to say.;-)

Yuuge maybe, but not classy.

Well, maybe as classy as polished bronze, but not as classy as gold leaf.

Don’t vote for him if you can’t tell the difference. Vote for Jeb.

Notice how when someone goes ‘down’ in the polls they complain about something Trump says, Trump responds and the value of the complainer goes up.

Carly said something ‘cute’ about Trump, Trump responds, and Carly gets to say ‘Trump is picking on poor little ole me’.

Apparently Mr Walker didn’t have to sign any pledge as his remarks upon departing could be taken as ‘anti Trump’.

If Trump drops out and goes after RNC, GOPe, the remaining candidates, they will collectively sue him for ‘breaking the pledge’ and not openly kissing their arses on his departure.

He did one day. Brought a loud laugh here

His father’s partner was Jewish. He had no one to teach or leave his part of business. He mentored and loved Donald as much as his father. Donald has always been close to the NYC Jewish community even before Ivanka converted (her inlaws are orthodox)

Yeah, but you gotta wear a cap if there's a litt breeze.

He would be the first president to appear wearing a cap on a regular basis, and it would open him up to lot's of ridicule, IMHO.

And I don't think he's going to change his 'do. . . . .doesn't make him a bad guy . . just sayin' . . .

You can’t tussle with the GOPe without slinging a little mud - at least if you plan on coming out on top. The GOPe slings mud as well, but they do it through surrogates, and manufactured controversies, such as the faux outrage over the Obama is a Muslim questioner, while all the while, pretending to be above it all. Trump sees there dishonest attacks and raises them.

They could portray him like Donald Duck with the blue baseball cap that says Donald in front.

Totally agree. I was very disappointed to see him rise so quickly in the polls. Then I read Art of the Deal and was surprised. He really hates waste and prides himself on efficiency. I'm hoping he cleans house in D.C.

I can’t stand to turn Fox News on either and I’m not running for President. :-)

Is he running for President of the United States, or of the middle school student council? Hard to tell sometimes.

Trump is a big crybaby. Can dish it out, but is prone to rage tweeting and whining when questioned, challenged or, God forbid, criticized. So yeah, he acts like a child.

You may not see it--I didn't at first--but he's not ahead for nothing.

Herman Cain was way ahead of the primary pack for awhile last presidential election cycle, and he was never a serious candidate for President.

Trump is living off years of star power and is still able to generate vastly more free media coverage than the other candidates. That will fade over time. As we move forward, networks won't let him phone in for Sunday morning interviews and the drooling coverage he gets from hosts like Greta and even Hannity will fade. Trump may have already burnt that bridge as is.

The pledge is pretty meaningless, but the sore loser laws are not. Apparently those are on the books in many states and the longer he remains a GOP candidate the harder it would be to build a brand new organization down the road if he wanted to go 3rd party (which I think he'd want to do if it looks like he might lose in the early primary states).
