No, they don’t want her to be a martyr.
They want her to be an example; a cautionary tale about what happens to those who stand up to the gaystapo.
the Civil rights law of 1964 Title VII insists that business not discriminate by religion.
So the government is supposed to arrange for the licenses to be given out without requiring Christians to do it.
This is similar to requiring Muslim stewardesses to give out alcohol to airplane passengers, pharmacists to give out abortion pills, etc.
I am going to posit a thought here, that perhaps, this judge is smarter that we see.
Perhaps he jailed her instead of penalties, knowing it would ignite a firestorm, and for the right reason.
Interesting idea. Intended or not, he may well get that firestorm.
