When do Navy enlisted get called “airman”?

A Navy Airman is an E-3. ...I was an Airman Apprentice E-2 when I went on active duty from my Naval Air Reserve VP squadron. ....Those working in Naval Air squadrons are Airmen, not Seamen. ......On the carrier, I was in V-2 Cats with Aviation Bosuns who were Seamen, but I was the only Airman (after three months active).
Is that true? Like even though you aren’t convicted you still have a Federal Prison record.

No. I served 10 days in the brig and got my honorable discharge.
It depends. FUBAR is all over the issue of military convictions.
