Oh my.

For those old enough to remember Lee Atwater...he and Stone worked together sometimes.

Very bright, sleazy and cutthroat. .

Well, soon enough Trump will probably act like a child and start tweeting that Stone is “stupid”, “dumb”. etc.

He can’t help himself, and the Trumpster fan club will forgive almost anything.

We’re in cult of personality territory here. I begin to think it would be better for Trump to just go run 3rd party (which he may do anyway since he isn’t going to be the GOP nominee). Just get it out of the way. Trump will burn whatever campaign he runs out with all the stupid adolescent behavior, but in the mean time he is distracting from candidates like Cruz, etc, that represent actual conservatism.

Trump didn’t fire him, Stone quit. But then Donald goes out and says Stone used his campaign position for personal gain to bring attention on himself.

That’s a crappy leader and a preview of how Trump would treat the Tea Party on any disagreement since this is how he’s treated the TP in the past.

No, not really. Trump’s done his own damage this week. I really don’t know what to make of him, with his pro-single payer talk, amnesty after a vacation back home plan, blaming Republicans for down economies, advocacy of protectionism and, I’m not sure, but maybe a weak dollar as well?

I listened to a couple of his big speeches a couple of weeks ago and thought he came across as sincerely of the sorta GOP views of a NYC businessman. But I’m now wondering again if he is indeed a Clinton plant aiming to go 3rd party. I just don’t know.

But Stone is his own half-crazed guy.

Wonder if timing is related to current furor of Bimbo Kelly or something else? Curious to see what Stone did or didn’t do. I’m sure the campaigns will all jettison people, par for the course. Watching...

Did he take advantage? For profit? If true, should be easily documented.

Who knows what happened. I wasn’t aware that Roger Stone was a political consultant. I am familiar with him as an author of a number of books.

Hey it happens. Difference in philosophy.

If true, Trump will ‘drop the dox’ on him.

I don’t think there is a cult going on here, but clearly Kelly, Fox, and others—plus many here on FR are pining for him to self-destruct, to quit, etc. Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Railroading him with false accusations won’t work and will likely backfire. He did not make a sexual comment and shame on anyone trying to twists this into that.

Crappy leader? He's beating all the munchkins. This looks like a disagreement on how to go about Trump's campaign. They have disagreement that can't be reconciled, Trump being the boss gets his way. That we can understand.

All you Trump bashers, you are in good company, Maureen Dowd is with you...live with that

BTW this is directed at all the Trump Bashers here, not one person in particular

Erick Erickson is a loser, he was against Trump before the debate, he also trashed Sarah Palin as did Megyn Kelly, this is fact

“Trump’s done his own damage this week.”

Actually, the MSM, which includes Fox News, has done the damage by attributing remarks to Trump which they took out of context. Their orders were to “take out Trump”, and they did what they had to do to accomplish the task.

I don’t think Trump has a chance to win in the end, and I’m not sure I want him to. (I need to know details.) But I am so glad he has the power and the exposure at this point in time to vocalize what so many of us are thinking. We’ve been stifled too long and bullied by GOPe.

Didn’t Reagan also switch his team...it’s certainly not unusual as their position moves up the ranks...in Trumps current position he needs those with some skills who can keep him in the game and knows the terrain he’s ...which is not the norm for a candidate.
