Talent is not the issue, motivation is.
The communist countries never lacked talent, they had brilliant scientists and brilliant engineers and brilliant inventors and not doubt brilliant entrepreneurial minds, but no one is actually going to use their talent and work hard if everyone is getting the same compensation regardless of effort and result.
“Dan Price, 31, tells the New York Times that things have gotten so bad hes been forced to rent out his house.
Im working as hard as I ever worked to make it work, he told the Times in a video that shows him sitting on a plastic bucket in the garage of his house. Im renting out my house right now to try and make ends meet myself.”
Brown outlook on the world. This isn’t a negative consequence, it’s Price showing his people he will live on his 70k too.
bump
Not many people can save these days in this economy
A lot of people are being paid somewhat more than they would command at a similar company. Don’t kid yourself, they know it well. They don’t want to lose a job like that.
IE,, motivation ensues.
I know its not popular, or the focus of that article, but I bet you could just as easily find most employees there who got a big bump would do anything that owner asked them to.
People will do a hell of a lot for someone who values them and takes care of them well. It happens in the Marines every single day.
It didn’t happen in soviet factories so much.
“Capitalism isnt about making whatever choices you desire “
With your own company and how you pay employees. Yes,,, it pretty much is.
“it pretty much is.”
So is anarchy, totalitarianism, and other forms of despotism.
This was already done 400 years ago. Plymouth Rock. Socialism failed miserably.
its probably the old 80/20 rule.
see my tagline
capitalism allows people to make communist decisions, like this guy. the end result is he and his company and staff suffer. may recover if they reverse course.
the same cannot be said for those that attempt capitalist decisions in communist countries.
When Atlas is done shrugging, he’s going to pick up a gun
Not exactly. Remember he only did this when it was necessary.
It’s plain and simple common sense.
LOL! Yeah, I remember reading that slackers then have descendents currently collecting benefits.
Again, one word: seattle
