What about council flats? Are they included?
Right. As a landlord myself, its not my job to determine the validity of a tenants residence
Its not your job... but it would be a pretty smart thing to do since its your investment they’re going to be living in..... What are you thinking?
But it does raise the issue as to enforcement and laws. Immigration is not a simple issue. I have no problems with immigrants if they want to work, my ancestors were immigrants. We can not let everyone into our country just like we can’t give total healthcare to everyone.
I have a former gang member from CA working for me and he tells me that the laws are working in keeping criminals and gang members out of the US. He tells me that gang problems are becoming a very big problem in Mexico because they can’t get to the US.
So who are we to believe? The media? The comments told and repeated here at FR? My former gang member?
We don’t live in a perfect world and conservatives are just as idealistic (not realistic) as liberals. The “Invisible Hand” (Adam Smith) is at work and will override politics.
I agree with a lot of your post. I rent based on character as well. I teach a naturalization class once a week, to prep persons who are wanting to take the naturalization test. I love doing it. I teach US History and Civics to the class. New semester starts Sept 15th. But, I rent my properties to US Citizens.
The laws couldn't keep half of 12-20 million illegals from sneaking into our country from Mexico and we have no clue to their identity - let alone their criminal/gang background.
Do you actually believe criminals and gang members could not sneak in as all the others do?
Who do you think are running the smuggling rings bringing most of these millions (and hundreds of tons of drugs) in from Mexico?
