They destroyed the drive for one reason: it had VERY incriminating evidence that Lerner had direct communication with Valerie Jarrett and possibly even President Obama himself. And possibly reveal the confidential tax information on Right-leaning 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) groups were passed on to Democratic National Committee headquarters--possibly even the White House itself.
