The extent of the deflation of the balls has always been exaggerated

Would the effect of an underinflated ball be greater if the temperature was extremely cold? It was 10 degrees wind chill the prior week for the Ravens game but no Ravens defensive player held the ball long enough to notice.

The Patriots bent the rules during spy gate, fully acknowledged.

That's not the only incident. There have been at least one or two others, as anybody familiar with the team's history should know.

Regardless of that history, both the owners and the players have willingly granted the Commissioner the power to impose the penalties which have been imposed.

The Commissioner has heard the appeal, and has upheld the suspension.

If I'm not mistaken, the owners can get together and relieve the commissioner of his job at any time, if they feel he's not doing it well enough.

Indeed, Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has in the past actually been accused of being too friendly to Patriots owner Robert Kraft, has nonetheless decided not to reduce Brady's suspension. Therefore, there must be some well-founded reason for that decision, at least in the Commissioner's mind.

I have a hard time believing that the Commissioner is simply being arbitrary and vindictive in this case. Tom Brady is one of the biggest stars in the league, and it seems unlikely that the league would go after Brady so aggressively without a valid reason for doing so.

So I guess we'll see. However, I doubt that any judge is going to deny the league Commissioner the right to impose a punishment which he obviously feels is justified, and which both sides have stipulated that he has the right to do. A rogue commissioner can be fired, right?

As I mentioned, both the owners and the NFLPA agreed to give the commissioner this power. He must honestly feel that something happened here which affected the integrity of the game.

I, for one, am happy to let the chips fall where they may, and let this process take its course.

What are the other two incidents? I don't pay that much attention, so what are they?

If there is a well founded reason, what is it? He hasn't given any evidence, he saw the phones of the ball boys, what possible evidence could he have gotten from Brady's phone if he saw what (if anything) was exchanged between Brady and them.

I'm sorry, until I see something resembling evidence this is pure BS. Until someone explains how he did so well with fully inflated balls, I am going to keep calling BS.

Oh, Aaron Rogers is on record that he overinflates his balls. Where is his four game suspension, and why is no one calling for that? Pure BS.

Little Tommy really stepped on his poncho this time.

Pretty stupid and/or arrogant to appeal knowing you destroyed your phone the morning it was to be the topic of inquiry later in the day.
