If you’re too lazy to read it and you apparently have never read it then you clearly don’t have a clue what you’re talking about so stop acting like you do. Stop claiming it was illegal. Prove to me it was illegal. Show me in the code that anything the cop did was illegal. If it was illegal then it should be easy to find too. The fact is, it wasn’t illegal, you can’t prove it was illegal, and you don’t know what you’re talking about. You just dislike cops and want to assume it was illegal despite the facts.

Wrong again! Under TX law, a cop can remove you from a car for ANY reason. The cop can also require you to put out your cigarette for ANY reason. Both are lawful orders and within the cop’s authority.

I can give you just as many possible scenarios like the cop was angry and BTW it shows AND BTW he was suspended for not following procedures so yeah its already in the record, the cop was wrong.
But being there is no mention whatsoever in the arrest record of drugs etc. then how did he smell or see drugs that were not there?
I’m from North TX and last night on the news it was told she asked the officer what she did wrong. They are supposed to tell you. Instead he told her to get out of the car and pulled his taser - for not using your lane change light or not putting out your cigarette? I’m not getting out of my car for that either.
About two weeks ago we had a jerk impersonating an officer right here in DFW and he ordered a young girl out of her car and she refused because she said she had not done anything wrong. Said she would not get out until she called her husband and the PD to check on his name. It likely saved her life as the jerk then ran.
They should throw the book at this cop.
It is not standard procedure to order a woman of any color out of her car for not using a lane change light.
Not following policy is not the same as illegal or against the law. He violated the courtesy policy. I’m not defending his attitude. He may have been a jerk, but being a jerk is not illegal or abusive.
Also, read the story on other sites. She had multiple prior DWI/DUI arrests and drug possession arrests. She spent 30 days in jail for the last MJ possession arrest.

Have you seen the film where he has her down on the ground? for not using her light for a lane change.
I understand that he is on desk duty, and I further understand that what specific policy he violated was not stated.
When they put you on desk duty for violating policy, aren’t they supposed to tell you what policy you violated?

There is no question that this woman intentionally ruffled the officer’s feathers. Black’s seem to be emboldened to behave this way with Obola in the White Hut. That said, they are still citizens and must be afforded the same rights as those of us who don’t have some racial axe to grind, and surely they don’t deserve to die because they act like a$$holes.
In some departments, including DPS, it is very common practice to get someone out of the car. It is also legal and within the cop’s authority to do so.
He has her on the ground for refusing a lawful order and for kicking and elbowing him once she got out of the car.
I think he had her on the ground for resisting arrest at that point.
Or maybe he threw her on the ground because she was black, right?
I am not sure that he did not have the authority to order her to put out the cigarette.
Cigarette or no cigarette he absolutely, positively had the authority to order her to step out of the vehicle.

He could walk away from a bank robbery too, but cops don’t generally walk away from law breakers, do they?
She was arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. He had written her a WARNING for failure to signal and was about to send her on her way, when she became belligerent.
It amazes me that FReepwrs take the side of a radical, racist activists who believed that any black person has the the right to assault, rob or murder any white person and any white person who defends his or herself is a criminal.
Sorry but the PD has already stated the officer neglected to write up the real things that happened here on his report which is completely wrong. They said he did not even mention he pulled his taser, just tried to make it look like she was a bad apple here. But the films are telling the truth.
Refusing to follow a lawful order is a criminal offense in TX regardless of the lawful order. Putting out a cigarette is a lawful order and done for officer safety and investigative purposes. Her smoking wasn’t the issue. Her refusing to follow the lawful order of putting the cigarette out was the issue.
you do realize the video has severe problems right? So-called "glitches" so you are assuming he didn't break the law. Taking her off camera raises red flags and again there was no drugs mentioned in the report. So if he smelled them or saw them where are they? Did he steal them for his own self? is that why the tape "glitches"?
That officer’s overall behavior was debatable, but you mentioned him pulling the gun. That was absolutely the correct thing to do when multiple people are charging at you, while you are making an arrest.
He defused that dangerous situation by pulling the gun. If he had allowed the 3 men to get on top of him someone might have been shot and killed in the struggle.
