One has to ask whether this is because the newly elected mayor is a black woman or because her opponent had been mayor for 37 years. That’s right - 37 years.
Maybe those cops and a few others who resigned were worried that their days of stiffing the town of Parma were over. Maybe they were worried about being charged with a few crimes.
I don’t know. Just sayin’ there is more to this story than we have been told.

Just a wild guess, based on recent history: the woman is incompetent and these folks are getting out before they get blamed when everything goes to hell.
