No presidential candidate wants to be overlooked, or to come up short when the votes are counted.

Isn’t he a rapper? Is he running as a Republican?
To: VinL
I do not see Ted Cruz listed anywhere on the site.

I don’t think he’s over 5’8”. I’ve met him several times.

Hey, the Beast may not be tall, but she be almost as wide as high!
Got to count for something, at least to the "get her a cheeseburger!" crowd on FR!

I wasn’t aware Matt Roloff was running.
He’s no Billy Barty, but why not?.

Ditto, I don’t see him either. Interesting he was left out.

Someone else on the board talked to him in NH— says he’s six foot. One of the two of you met an impostor.

He's just such a great conservative that he SEEMS to be 7 feet tall.

From what I gather from the web and photos, he’s around 6 ft.

I tried to look at it one day, and couldn’t come to any conclusion at all, except that I did figure out that Paul is short.
I hope Cruz is about 6’.

He’s visited Nueces county, Texas several times in the last few years. First he was going to run for Texas Attorney General, but Senator Huchison didn’t resign to run against Governor Perry. After the 2010 congressional elections, he decided to run for the U.S. Senate in 2012. I got to sit directly across the table from him at a meeting of about 25 local Republican activists. He spoke for over an hour talking without looking at notes about his strategy of how to win 2nd place in the primary but keep Dewhurst under 50% to force a runoff. He’s a brilliant man, but he’s below average height.

This seems to be the day for Ian Fleming quotes around here so I’ll throw this one out. Bond always mistrusted short men. They grew up from childhood with an inferiority complex. All their lives they would strive to be big - bigger than the others who had teased them as a child. Napoleon had been short, and Hitler. It was the short men that caused all the trouble in the world.
