Oh, to the 1st State that would abolish all taxes and institute a ‘usage tax’.

You want fire, police, EMT...pay.
You use the schools...pay.
Play in the park...pay.

Those that don’t....don’t. Fire breaks out though, you’re on your own. But, finally, people would finally start paying attention to what things COST and when/where/how their taxes were put to use.

Unfortunately, I know it will NEVER happen. A one Free people have perished many years ago....
