Cruz is running for President of the United States, he doesn’t have a CV, he has a resume. If he had a CV, he would be running against Cameron for the leadership of the Conservative Party, or to replace Pellegrini at Man City.

Ted must scare you to death.

He does. He reminds me of President Obama in so many ways. You can see it in the way his fans identify with him is almost exactly the way that the Obama fans thought of him. They were both first term Senators, they both can give a decent speech. They both promise things that will never happen. Yes I am concerned that we will have Obama II but thankfully I don’t think that will happen because I don’t think that voters are dumb enough to elect another first-term Senator at least I pray that they are not...of course they just finished voting for one twice so you can never underestimate the intelligence of the voting public.

“Of course you are, you are a democrat.”

Actually i’m not, although I was when I first signed up at FR 10 plus years ago. I never bothered to change my handle.

You keep throwing spaghetti at a wall. Maybe some of it will stick.

CV and resume are interchangeable terms. Got anything better? Is there some path to the nomination for the now 7th ranked Ted Cruz that we’re missing?

No, I’ve made some good posts, it is you with the spaghetti, with simple ignorant personal opinions, for instance how the conservative who just had such a great statewide victory in 2012, doesn’t reach any voters that would switch from a more moderate man such as Dewhurst,

But like you say, you are a democrat who signed up here, and counts himself lucky to manage to get by with your politics.

So bashing the conservative, is a natural place for you.

More made up nonsense, like you not really knowing who Cruz is, to you mocking Texans, and conservatives and Jim Robinson and tea partiers, as being like Obama “fans”.

Did you even read post 31?

You think he is like Obama was? If you want to undo Obama, elect Cruz.

For a guy running to head the Executive branch, and appoint federal judges and the Supreme Court, and defeat the democrats in his cultural and legal decisions and executive orders as a President, it is hard to think of someone more qualified that Senator Cruz.

Work experience
US senator from Texas, 2012–present:

Solicitor general of Texas, 2003–2008

Official in administration of President George W Bush, 2001–2003
Director of policy planning, Federal Trade Commission; associate deputy attorney general.

Adviser to George W Bush presidential campaign, 1999–2000
… helped craft victorious argument in Bush v Gore

Clerk for US supreme court chief justice William Rehnquist, 1996

Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.

Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court

Cruz served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Cruz was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States

Described as a ‘superb’ constitutional lawyer, the man’s considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him ‘answer the damn question’.

In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.

Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan.

Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.

Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation

Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%...
he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.

AWARDS: “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business,” Chambers USA (2009 & 2010) “50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America,” National Law Journal (2008) “25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century,” Texas Lawyer (2010) “20 Young Hispanic Americans on the Rise,” Newsweek (1999) Traphagen Distinguished Alumnus, Harvard Law School

On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He is now spearheading efforts in the Senate to have root-and-branch...

"He does. He reminds me of President Obama in so many ways."

How is Cruz like Obama? Specifically. List some examples.

" You can see it in the way his fans identify with him is almost exactly the way that the Obama fans thought of him. "

Yeah, let me know when you hear freepers referring to Cruz as some kind of deity.

As usual, naps, your posts are over-dramatic and hyperbolic.

"They were both first term Senators, they both can give a decent speech. They both promise things that will never happen. Yes I am concerned that we will have Obama II but thankfully I don’t think that will happen because I don’t think that voters are dumb enough to elect another first-term Senator at least I pray that they are not...of course they just finished voting for one twice so you can never underestimate the intelligence of the voting public."

Well, you've already been educated on that kind of simpleminded thinking...twice that I can remember.

But I'll say it again---not so much for you, because you're a true Walker fanboy, complete with merit badge, wall poster, and secret heart-shaped ring, but for anyone who might be lurking.

In our nation's history, 17 presidents have been governors, and 16 have been senators. Hardly a difference there. Keep in mind that those who were governors include Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton---hardly ringing endorsements for that particular achievement.

Obama is a disaster not because he was a senator, but because of his ideology. Note that WE consider him disastrous because we're conservative, but as far as his agenda goes, he's been a success. He has managed to ram through much of what he wanted to do.

Do you think he would be a better president if he had governed a state? No. Of course not. Because it's clear that his politics are the problem.

Obama isn't even all that bright, either. Cruz is brilliant & a natural leader. Imagine what he could accomplish as president.

BTW, Rush Limbaugh happens to agree.

I wasn’t talking about Ted Cruz. I support him.

I was talking about Dr. Carson, who has said that guns can be banned from certain neighborhoods, among other things.

Ted Cruz has an exemplary Second Amendment record, agreed. Dr. Carson does not, and honestly does not seem to have even a basic working understanding of the Bill of Rights.

Thanks for correcting my mistake. I haven’t followed Dr. Carson much. He seems like a nice man, but he puts me to sleep when he speaks.
