Go find the scripture that commands Christians to let themselves be raped, or to let someone cut of the children’s heads, or to stand by while their neighbor is brutally beaten to death. Find those and get back to me jackboot.

Why is it difficult to understand that many times, often justifiably, people with no criminal record are arrested? No one is born with a record.

Not difficult to understand at all. But, one must also stipulate that the police sometimes arrest people without a valid reason. And, in America, "dragnet' arrests are not a valid, legal or Constitutional police tactic.

So, we are left with a judgement call. is it likely that many of the people arrested were there doing criminal deeds, and had managed to avoid arrest thus far in life, but were still deserving of being arrested this time,

OR

does it seem more likely that the police screwed up, first by shooting many people in a very dangerous and stupid manner, and then by arresting everyone in sight.

In my judgement the latter scenario seems the likely one, all the more so as evidence and stories come out.

One fellow and his wife were released last week. I would say that when you are reducing bail from $1 million to $25K that's a pretty clean sign that you over-reached.

We now now that it is at least possible that all, or most, of the dead were shot by police. (Nine dead, 12 police rounds fired). This has been speculated upon by a number of people. It's now a plausible scenario.

If you compare this with most other high profile arrests it is extremely noticeable that there is a long time-lag in providing any details to the press.

But that would be counter to every eyewitness report ....

It’ll assume you are asking a serious question, not just nipping with a squeak for a bark like the other bike gang wannabe Chihuahuas.

The Rangers do not generally speak up or issue public reports about the situations they investigate, unless they find it is not being properly handled by the locals. There have been times when they dumped on local LEO. When they do not it is an indication there is no problem.

The link was on Post 50 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3299674/posts
*******************************************************************************************************
So, in your post 137 above, you want to send me to Post 50 of the thread to which you link?

Post 50 of your linked thread does not substantiate your statement that the Texas Rangers support what the local Waco PD has put out. So, why did you send me to that “empty/non-responsive” link? Let’s do a bit of reconstruction:

..........................................................................

Your post 137 is in response to my post 124 in which I asked:

Do you have a link to the investigative report where the Texas Rangers are “going along with the Waco police report”?

........................................................................

And that question in my post 124 was directed at your assertion (completely unfounded & FALSE as far as I know) in your post 102. The FALSE (IMHO) statement in your post 102 was:

“...When the Rangers, who were at Waco after the shootout to investigate, go along with the Waco police report, it is as close to jospel as we will find....”

................................................................................................................

So, since your link is to something that does not substantiate your FALSE claim, I ask you again the question I asked in post 124:

Do you have a link to the investigative report where the Texas Rangers are “going along with the Waco police report”? If not, you can simply be honest and say “No, I was blowing smoke...Just like I’ve been doing in many other Waco related posts. I enjoy trolling, lying and creating discord on Free Republic”. Go ahead, be honest.

“We now now that it is at least possible that all, or most, of the dead were shot by police. “

But that would be counter to every eyewitness report ....

Well the article has this quote:

In fact, Lori said, the biker community is rife with reports about witnesses who heard the discharge of lots of high-powered weaponry after a few initial pop-pop sounds of handguns. The reports sounded like they came from “muzzled or suppressed high-powered weapons,” said Lori, though she wasn’t there. The theory is that the heavy fire came from tactical police officers.

I do see that this is secondhand, not eyewitness, as you specified, but it is interesting that whoever was giving her this description turned out to be right about the suppressors, as the Waco PD admitted today.

Oh yes I am 100% 2nd Amendment and ever part of the Constitution, but I also have enough common sense to know if I am armed and in close proximity to a shooting, I stand some chance of being caught up in the sweep. Because I am not a criminal and am not trying to look like a criminal, I am confident that my 2nd Amendment Right will be upheld and I will be released along with my CHL pistol.

We also have an obligation under that same Constitution to not violate the public’s rights while exercising our own Rights.

Being armed also means you should have the common sense to not go to a Brestaurant with over a hundred motor cycle gang members parked in the lot.

Don’t have time to answer all, but had not the cops shot, the gangers would have shot one another until no one had any more bullets, which would likely resulted in many more being shot and killed. To think otherwise is a fantasy.

Here is my thinking:

I consider it highly implausible that nearly all of these rounds would not hit their intended target.

Even if they were "double-tapping" targets (two rounds into each target before moving on) that would be six people shot by the PD.

What I find implausible is that the Waco PD SWAT shooters, using excellent scoped and suppressed rifles, at a range of under 100 yards missed all 12 shots, on a sunny afternoon.

Do you shoot? I shoot enough to know the local SWAT guys. The ones I know are into shooting, pride themselves on their skills, train a lot, and train for and are capable of making much tougher shots then the ones described at this crime scene. Where there were no hostages, no barricaded suspects, or other things that SWAT teams train for.

I think we will soon see that most or all of the deceased were shot by .223 rounds, making the "law enforcement massacre" theory even MORE plausible.

I don't believe anyone has even claimed that a biker opened up with a rifle, so if the dead are all shot with rifle rounds it's much more plausible it was LEOs behind the triggers.

LOL! Please show me that in a AR-15 diagram!

I can’t find a link to a press statement by the WPD today.

Here is the Waco PD statement, in full, as quoted in this article at Brietbart:

The number of officers initially assigned to the Twin Peaks event on 5-17-15 are as follows:

There were 16 uniformed Waco Police Department Officers to include 5 Supervisors (3 Sergeants, 1 Commander and an Assistant Chief). Included in that number was a Tactical Element (SWAT Officers) assigned and present. None of the Officers were assigned in a sniper capacity and all Officers were in their vehicles at the time the suspects began the shooting. Those Officers were stationed in the parking lots adjacent to the Twin Peaks and were visible to patrons entering the Twin Peaks parking lot. There were 6 marked Waco Police units and 4 unmarked Waco Police vehicles. This does not include DPS vehicles. There were also Texas Department of Public Safety Officers assigned to the event as well.

As of this release, there are a total of 44 shell casings recovered from the Twin Peaks scene. This number does not include the revolver rounds fired by non-law enforcement shooters. Those casings are still being counted. 12 of those casings were from the rifles of 3 Waco Officers who discharged their weapons in defense of their selves or a third party. The Waco SWAT Officers’ weapons are .223 caliber rifles that are capable of full-auto fire; Officers only fired in semi-auto mode during the incident. There was no full-auto gunfire from any of the Officers at the scene. As is normal practice, rifles carried by the Waco SWAT Officers were deployed with sound suppressors. No other Officers fired rounds from any other weapon during the incident. The Officers involved in the shooting have been assigned administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation.

The number of weapons discovered during our search of the crime scene has increased since the first release and may continue to increase. The weapon count at this point in time is at least 475 weapons. This includes 151 firearms, 12 of which were long guns. The weapons recovered include: knives, brass knuckles, batons, tomahawks, weighted weapons, a hatchet, stun guns, bats, clubs, a machete, a pipe, an ax, pepper spray, and a chain. Many of these were hastily hidden and some were found using metal detectors as they were buried beneath the grass in the dirt. The involved firearms have been transferred to the ATF for analysis. Videos of the incident have been transferred to FBI Investigators for analysis. Full autopsy and ballistics analysis is being conducted by outside labs and the completed and final results have not been returned to us as of this release.

The special organizational structure of the Twin Peaks Investigation as it continues is this. There is a Commander assigned over the two Criminal Investigation Units (Special Crimes and SAFE-Support, Abatement, Forfeiture and Enforcement)investigating the cases that have developed from the shootings. There have been 4 additional Officers assigned to Special Crimes and 5 additional Officers assigned to SAFE to assist in the workload. This is in addition to the Detectives permanently assigned to those units. There are a total of 21 Officers and Supervisors assigned to the Twin Peaks Investigation.

Besides the addition of these Officers, we continue to receive support and investigation assistance from the following agencies; Texas Department of Public Safety including their Criminal Investigation Division and the Texas Rangers, Federal Bureau of Investigation-FBI, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms-ATF, Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission- TABC and the McLennan County District Attorney office.

We initially impounded 130 motorcycles and 91 other vehicles. As of June 10, 2015, 52 motorcycles and 47 vehicles have been released to the owners. In addition to those, 12 of the motorcycles and 3 of the other vehicles were released to the lien holders due to repossession.

At this point, we have recovered over 1000 pieces of evidence from the crime scene, the Convention Center (where suspects were initially detained) and the jail. Search warrants are still being issued in this case in reference to some of the property held as evidence.

There were 239 persons detained at the crime scene as result of the Twin Peaks shootings. At least 62 individuals were released from the crime scene or from the Convention Center without charges being filed. 177 persons were arrested that night or subsequently on warrants obtained by Detectives.
