I’ve been dealing with communists, Marxists, Nazis, racists, and psychos for over 50 years, 45 of them as a journalist. The Communists are the best at deception, as they basically created it for the Western world, mine, political milieu.
The Moslems created it a 1000 years ago as a weapon to use to deceive “dhimmis”, “infidels” and the weak in general.
IF we had listened to Pam Geller, Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Steve Emerson, Walid Phares, Hirsy Ali, Walid Shoebat, and even Winston Churchill or Mark Twain, the issue of “taqqiya” would not even be in question today.
I’ve seen communists lie to courts, congressional committees, and even immigration courts (Harry Bridges) (often through transcripts), and then have them turn around decades later and admit that they lied (i.e. Morton Sobell, co-defendant in the Rosenbergs Soviet spy ring case).
Can we really trust Huma Abedin? Her direct involvement with the Moslem Brotherhood, including her parents and possibly sister, raise a lot of questions about her honesty, yet she was Hillary Clinton’s top advisor.
Anyone trust Valerie Jarrett? How about Soviet operative mentored David Axelrod (id. CPUSA David S. Canter, Soviet asset in Chicago)?

A Marxist-lite wannabe IS a socialist. Marx says so! He says he’s a socialist. You say that he’s a Marxist-lite wannabe. The two of you are in agreement. I agree with you both.
I also say that Obama, Clinton, the GOPe, and quite few wealthy people are also on the Marxist-lite wannabe spectrum. Some are more fascist. Some are socialist. Some are almost full bore communist. Almost all of them exempt themselves from the great sharing of resources that they have in mind for you and me.
I’m not as old as you but I have been studying Marxism in all its forms for 35 years. My interest in Saunders is mostly to see how the Progs treat him in this primary. Do they think it’s finally time to pull off the fake label?
Good definition of what we are talking about. The Democrats on the Left, but the liberal side, are not going to do anything about finding out what Sanders really thinks/wants/is.
Those on the hardcore Marxist Left (Conyers, Barbara Lee, Schakowsky, Laura De Rosa, etc.) know who he really is but will say nothing if people think he is just a leftist clown.
However, if he poses a real threat to Hillary (a hardcore leftist with a smile), then they will depose of him as an “agent provocateur”, a disrupter of their “Left-Centrist” position image, etc.
Bernie will tell the truth because he knows that his followers know what his code-words actually mean, but the real reds don’t want him tipping their hand too early, i.e. before Hillary gets the nomination or even elected.
Obama very successfully covered up his lifelong Communist heritage, family and school associations, mentors, and political alliances in Chicago (those who nominated him to takeover Alice Palmer’s Illinois Legislature Senate seat were all hardcore, veteran Communist Party USA activists or sympathizers, plus the two psychopathic Weathermen Marxists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn).
You can see how successful he has been. Obama is the most successful Communist in American history. He makes Eugene Genovese, Bettina Aptheker, and even Angela Davis seem like amateurs.
Sanders is a wacko and always has been but he has been pretty open about where he is headed. It is those who cover up their Marxism that pose a grave danger to what is left of the US political system.

He really didn’t cover it that well. People who have eyes can see right through him. Unfortunately, most Americans are taught that communism ended wit the Berlin Wall and anyone who cries “Red!” Is just a fear-driven relic of the Cold War. People tell me that the get tired of hearing about communists and Marx because those things really don’t exist. They say, “if Obama is such a commie, then why did he bail out the banks?”
They don’t realize that 21st century communism is considerably different than the early 20th century communism that appeared to die in 1990. It morphed and adapted and learned how to survive inside a host body and that host body is the global banking system, social justice theology, crony capitalism, and the multinational corporation. All of them are the enemy of free markets and individual liberty and they practice the “nudge” method of spreading Marxism becuase they learned that revolution is only good until the Bolsheviks are gone and then the Proletariat quickly wants to return to free markets and freedom.

Obama had great mentors who taught him how to lie, obfuscate, deceive/deception, use disinformation, speak Alinskyese, and practice racial division, Islamic taqqiya, and just be a Machiavellian psychopath.
And he succeeded due to the ignorance of the American public, our corrupted and coopted educational system, political, moral and ethical corruption at the highest levels, blind racial egocentrism, white liberal guilt, and a nearly totally surrender by the gutless and mindless GOP RINOS and greedy Republicans.

Obama was hard left before he was elected and still is. Clinton was left of center before he was elected and tried to go far left, but walked it back after 1994. Carter was left-leaning in the election and governed as left-leaning and then went hard left afterwards.
Don’t listen to their words. Words can be used to mislead. Listen to what they promise. That is the key to understanding that they were, and still are, Progressives. And that means collectivist, humanist, statist, Marxist, and totalitarian if they get the chance.
