Going on the word of Jeff Sessions, who is more trustworthy than Cruz on this subject.
But you are right about the secrecy.
On that basis alone, a principled conservative should oppose it.
On the basis that it usurps the constitution, a principled conservative should oppose it.
But Cruz has neither of those principles.
Then, WHY don’t you ask Sessions to release it?
Because he is not allowed to release it.
But that is one of the problems here....we have two good conservative Senators contradicting each other.
One will turn out to be a liar.
I go back to what Cruz said in May.... "I am a strong supporter of free trade, but I cannot support legislation that would allow the President to once again circumvent Congress to enact his own immigration laws."
Now Cruz says that there are no immigration powers contained in TPA.......even though he offered an amendment to "fix" that part of TPA.
So, Cruz has no been consistent here. That makes all of us very suspicious of his support.
Ok, so you and other complain of the SECRET nature of the bill, and yet, you concede it CANT be released?
LOL.
Cruz complained about what was contained in the secret bill, but then he flip-flopped and voted for it.
Sessions is trying to keep sounding the alarm, but Cruz turned against Sessions after originally being on his side.
