1960s and 70s drive-in movie days. I'll have to get out a few old issues of Famous Monsters and relive the old days....again. RIP Sir.

NO!
Just Damn.
Lee was the only cast member of “Lord Of The Rings” who actually KNEW Tolkien.
A legend has passed.

Lydia weeps.
An actual actor with talent. Lots of it. At 50 I suddenly feel very old.

He also read Lord of the Rings once every year and met J.R.R. Tolkien in Person.

Great actor, lovely man, legend.
RIP Sir.

His WW2 record is the stuff of legend.

Its sad that aside from a handfull of others left like Patrick Stewart, most left in the biz just aren’t of Lee’s caliber. Certainly no one under about 60.
Big difference between theater trained on Shakespeare and doing “Rent” or “Cats”.

Not only did they make great horror films, they made many great non-horrors, people tend to forget that. For every horror film, they made two non horror films: drama, action-adventure, comedy, war.

Great actor, lovely man, legend. Couldn't agree more. As others have said; RIP, sir. A sad day.

He made you hate his character... a testament to his presentation of it.
RIP Mr. Lee.

I forgot. He was Arngnier too. The voice is silent.

Rest in peace, Sir Christopher. I’ve just read that he was perhaps the most prolific actor in screen history, racking up more than 275 films. I’ve also read that it was said, he was the only Lord of the Rings actor who had actually met the author, J. R. R. Tolkien.
While I am not often drawn to the dark side, he made it his life’s study. He delved into many roles few actors dare to pursue.

Lee has lived a long and very productive life in both movies and live theater. This is not a time for mourning, but a time to celebrate his innumerable artistic achievements.
