Why not wait until he's had a chance to win and disgrace the office?

I shudder to think what atrocities another President would have to perpetrate to out do the current resident.

I forgot about Central America.

It's easy to miss on the map.

As with the Mexicans, they all come here.

South Americans, particularly Ecuadorans and Columbians were common in Spain, at least until Spain's own economy ran into trouble.

JFYI, I lived in Japan at a time when Ecuadorans, Brazilians and Columbians or anyone else of Japanese descent in those countries were moving to Japan to take low paying factory jobs. Many of them were of the professional class, doctors, professors, business managers and the like.

That's how bad the South American economies were in the early to mid 1990s.

Some of the locals thought they would join the exodus by posing as people of Japanese descent, not realizing that Japanese immigration was pretty good at ferreting out this type of thing. Those few who weren't caught and deported usually ended up working at even lower paying jobs. Some of the more popular factory towns were desperate to hire Spanish or Portuguese speaking teachers at the time.
