This is plausible. I know the circumstances pale in comparison, but I have a story along these lines.
During my years of high school teaching, there were two girls who were constantly jawing at each other. A constant low-grade disruption. It never ended. I observed them in the cafeteria one day, and it looked like it would come to blows. So, I didn't do anything. Just kept watching them till one threw a punch. And still I waited for the other to retaliate. Only then did I "realize" that a fight had broken out! Oh, no!
Afterwards, it was haul them to the principal, tell what happened, have him review the video, and TA-DA! Instant suspension for both.
From what I read by people who were there and who live there, the DJ at the pool party took it upon himself to use social media to invite all sorts of his bruthas who do not live in that area. The police were called and that's when the trouble started.
Your comment brought me back out of the lurking woodwork because you have NO idea just HOW expert they are at that entire technology/social manipulation. I don’t know if it is happening countrywide, but here in SoCal, they are laying the foundation to ensure their ability to mobilize the 47% for whatever purpose is needed at the time, be it a flash mob or voter turnout to stuff ballot boxes.
ALL future elections are already in the bag for them because by 2016 they will have this capability honed to a fine razor’s edge after using it between now and then to generate unrest.

For the last several months, in my daily travels, I’ve noted dozens on pop-up shade tents, operating under a variety of “company” names, furnished with a folding table, a few folding chairs and located on whatever 20 or 30 sq-ft of area they can glom onto for a day or two. (Locations such as the corner of a strip parking or gas station lot seem very popular for this activity.)
There has NEVER been less than four or five potential OBphone recipients and as many as a couple of dozen standing in line at all hours of the day and evening waiting to sign up so they can stay in touch with their network and their feeders.
Print this post/prediction out and put it in sealed envelope so you can take it out after the coming disaster and read how they managed the final stage of the takeover by tying all the 47%ers together with the instantaneous OBphone communication/propaganda channel.
And not a single day of work missed.

Yep....and all the media focus and black focus is on just that one gal....none of the other photos that expose what actually happened throughout the street fight is being seen enough if at all.
The police were originally called to the pool because neighbors reported that the swimmers didn’t have permission to use it.....would not heed ground security to leave..... When police showed up, the party goers continued to refuse police orders.
First responding officers encountered a large crowd that ‘refused to comply with police commands’..... Nine additional units responded to the scene. Officers were eventually able to gain control of the situation.
