Now you’re not even trying to be smart and have a reasonable conversation.
You just assumed in your estrogen bath of emotions that I must trust them. That’s so infantile and shallow.
I never said a damned word about trust. Go ahead and find where I did, or drink a big can of STFU.. Never one single word about trust. I stand by what I said, if the bill does end the mandate, then it’s a bill with at least some redeeming qualities. If it does end the mandates, then the bill reclaims it’s main Constitutionality problem.
I also said that would mean you have the option to opt out, and that so do I, and so would doctors, hospitals, insurance companies ,etc. BTW. It would leave obama care as a tiny little program mainly for the pre existing condition crowd, which is the only reform that should have happened in the first place.
Period. Can’t imagine what it’s like to be so bitter than my IQ evaporated. How does that feel?
How does an adult, if you are one, reach puberty without understanding the concept of “if” -
Your IQ is sub triple digits obviously. BYE
Local control would be ideal. However, the simplest approach would be to just expand Medicaid (which seems to be the largest effect of Obamacare anyway) without all of the mandates - I'm not a fan of the program for many reasons, but it would have been far less disruptive than Obamacare has been.
I would agree, except I think each state can do a better job understanding and responding to their states citizens medical needs far better than a humongous federal beast...
An average joe citizen can petition their local state representative far better than their congressional congressman who is beholden to special interest, corporations, big Pharma etc...
I've been around long enough to know the federal government will never give up their power in handing out medical benefits...
I never defended the establishment Republicans - nor have I ever. All I said, and again, read this very very slowly so you can understand it, is IF the bill ends both mandates, the worst most unconstitutional part of Obama Care would in effect be gone, done with, period. That’s in the bill now.
Your question as to whether they will keep it in the bill is valid, but ALTOGETHER a different issue than the one I was raising. Again, if the mandates are gone, then Obama Care is gone for all intents and purposes, even if a tiny remnant remains on the books.
This was the entire issue with the first Supreme Court challenge - the mandates. Period.
Well first dude, the government has been over regulating the medical and insurance industries for 50-60 years - and yes, the right thing is to roll all that back.
But dude, that’s not on the table now. What IS on the table is s neutering of obama care. That’s what I am discussing.
I’ve written many articles on health care, ghost wrote much Obama Care stuff in 09 and 10 for a MAJOR...I mean MAJOR, commentator. It was also in my best selling book.
What we have here is a huge IQ discrpenacy, where you can’t get on the topic at hand - and are too estrogen wrenched to see where we agree.
but if the mandate stays in for another year plus, it may be too late to roll it back.
Oh, too late is a valid concept. You can BOLD your words all you want to, doesn’t matter. I’d love full repeal. I’ve been for that since before it was passed. I was against it in 93 with Hillary Care. I’ve given hundreds of interviews saying it “will not work because it cannot work” -
Having said that, we do not live in a perfect world. If all who want to opt out - can opt out of it - personally I’ll take it. If some little raggy remnant of it remains for the dolts, so be it.
Except that the history of government programs over a hundred years plus PROVES that every single day a program is in force, it becomes harder and harder to roll back.
Of course, there’s nothing to say the mandates get struck down now...then repeal what is left of the booger later too. The two are not mutually exclusive. But I’d hate to miss out on a chance to wipe out the mandate, given that the 16 elections might not work out the way we want them to.
History must not be your strong suit. Then again, maybe there isn’t one....
Watch Rush evolve on this...I don’t think he even knows the mandate part of the legislation yet.
This is not about saving the Democrats from their laws....it’s about saving US - YOU AND ME - from their laws. And BTW, this would not save them from it anyway. This would be humiliating to them. In fact, maybe even more humiliating than full repeal.
Look, I understand not trusting the GOP-e - and I get wanting the Democrats to be humiliated by their own doing. Totally agree with both. However, let’s not forget WHY we care. And we care because of the rest of the country, not because of the theatre of Washington.
