Labor unions push for increases in the minimum wage because their rates on federal contracts are tied to the minimum wage. It goes up, they get higher pay. Also, a minimum wage keeps out low-cost competition for jobs.
The minimum wage was never about poorer workers. It was always about helping the unions.
Great, 40% of their workforce now has their jobs at risk.
I”m sure this’ll work out great. Maybe I’ll be moving to LA to git me one of them there high paying j.o.b.s.
B.S. being the operative part of that sentence.
More and more people will end up with a 29/hr work week. That $15 is to help cover up the dismal failure of obamacare destroying 40/hr work week jobs.
