But was this part of the trend you mentioned before? Of steady decline over many years?

I believe it was a 6% decline in 2013, so 7.4% is a significant increase in the decline. By the way, it was 14% decline among Cub Scouts, which is a main membership feed to the Boy Scouts.
It is a shame to see the BSA fall this hard, but I’ve run out of things to say.
