I miss that nation, too. Gone for good, I’m afraid.
That's right. Why do people have such a difficult time making a distinction between good and evil?
"hey if we allow christian prayer in school dats bad cuz dats religion and if we allow dat we got to allow satanic child sacrifice 'n stuff."I have no trouble saying Christianity is good while islam and atheism is evil.
Well, obviously, since islam is evil and belongs nowhere in American society.
I am trying to have sympathy for someone who toes the State’s line, who is paid to indoctrinate school children, then doesn’t like it when they run afoul of the same system.
The Left is moving very aggressively against outlawing Christianity.
I emailed the superintendent and this is her response:
Dear Ms. Creekmore,
All the information in the newspaper is not correct and relevant information used in my decision was omitted. We uphold the Constitution, The 1st Amendment, all federal, state laws, rules and regulations.
I believe in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and I donate every month in Honor of Coach Jeremy Williams. I have this club in both of my High Schools. I believe FCA develops good Christian morals. values, and ethics in our young people.
There is another side to this story but unfortunately my hands are tied since it is a personnel issue, and I can’t give specific details. Dr. Lehr has publicly stated one week before the meeting that his contract was not being renewed.
He was not fired nor banned from the campus.
Thank you
Sincerely,
Carol L. Lane
Well, the issue with the Principle is that his actions violated the policy of his employer, the school board. I guess the same would apply to your question. Do some churches have policies against their Pastor's, or other senior administrators, doing party affiliated political work? I don't belong to a church, so I don't know the answer.
My pastor is an election judge. A school cannot have a policy regulating what outside religious activities a principal participates in. The school doesn’t own its employees. We will probably never agree, but the school didn’t fire the teacher who normally leads the group, only the principal when he filled in. Wonder why?
