yes - i have seen Michael Hagopian’s films on the Armenian genocide. actually he was a friend - recommend “Germany and the Secret Genocide.” as to Turkey it is going in the wrong direction- and BO’s appeasement only encourages misbehavior.
Someone must do a screen play about the Armenians, and add Turkish and Armenian subtitles.
This widely read best-seller on an episode during WWI was popular throughout the 1950's. Proposed as an epic movie over the years, Hollywood bowed to government pressure to suppress its content.
BTW, the Turks benefited from a brilliant PR job because of their token support for us and the UN in Korea. They had a quite ferocious reputation largely gained when they mistook retreating South Koreans as Chinese and massacred them. Then, they turned their weapons on a nearby Greek contingent. When they finally faced the CHICOM, they were wiped out. However, we had many Cold War bases in Turkey and they were supposed to be anti-Soviet, which was probably true. Thus, they enjoyed official US support. But in fact, much of their ferocity was expended against the Greeks on Cyprus and elsewhere.
Thanks Kenny Bunk.
