I used to work for IBM back in the late 1980s. It was drilled into my head that you wear a dark suit and white shirt — white; nothing else — every day. I still to it to this day.

So did these women

Seriously, wearing the same thing almost every day was one of the things I loved about my military service.

I wear a uniform 6 days a week also. A blue T-shirt, denim jeans. Not so unique as to have an article written about it.

Sounds like the practice has all the same advantages as wearing a uniform for work, and as uniforms go that one’s pretty nice.

My grandfather would wear grey slacks and a white short sleeve shirt to work and after work as long as I knew him.
He saved a fortune on clothes....

I wear a uniform to work every day. It’s nice not to have to expend the effort required putting together an outfit.

I saw that on one of the news shows the other day.

While I appreciate the efficiency, I have to wonder how long it takes to pick a piece of clothing off the floor, smell it, and either discard it to the floor—or put it on.
