No idea how much fuel remains, but any at all could be a real center of gravity problem.
Even more of a reason to get settled down well before approach, do not try to stabilize in the last few seconds.............
I theorize Velcro patches or strong magnets on each landing foot to stick that thing to the landing deck would have made the difference here.
Imagine watching Edison figure out the electric light bulb. That’s the modern age. The Wright brothers were allowed to fail pretty much in total privacy.
I really respect SpaceX for opening up the way it has. I think it has a good effect on people to see the failures as well as the success.
As they say, third time’s the charm.
Came close this time, pretty amazing in that.
If people were shown a chick hatching, it would be reported as all the action starting upon the chick leaving the shell. The truth is all the action happens before the success.
Too few Americans know that anymore.
