I’m with you except I favor Walker/Cruz, and then Cruz/???, reason being Walker is a sitting governor who has successfully and incredibly deftly navigated horrendous liberal/left minefields, and I think he has the hands-on know how how to accomplish this on a national level as well. And that way, too, we have Cruz, vice president and president of the senate, at the top for 16 years instead of 8. The President of the Senate, constitutionally speaking, is actually a powerful position but its powers lie unused, and Cruz (not McConnell) would be in fact in charge.
Well put. That’s how I look at it.
Walker is more appealing to the public for the reasons you state and Cruz would be most effective as President of the Senate, etc.

Recall that the GOPe had to settle for putting their guy in the VP slot when it became clear they couldn't stop Reagan.
I don't think Walker is anything even remotely close to Jeb or Christie given the hostility he got from the left.

Scott Walker may be that rare candidate who has true cross-over appeal in all wings of the GOP. The more Republican voters get to know him, the more they like him; and that goes for conservatives, moderates, and Tea Party supporters alike, said Murray...Jeb putting down he was Hispanic doesn't hurt either...

Interesting thought. I of course favor Cruz at the top of the ticket. But the scenario you outline is intriguing.

Christie is dead in the water. He doesn’t really offer anything, not even a state that’s in play.
