When married Gays and Lesbians becomes pastors at mainline Protestant Churches, the tide ha begun to swell. Now other “Christian” organizations want protection for the lifestyle of their gay and lesbian congregants.
All our welcome: kumbaya: They say:
We are particularly distressed at the thought that, should (the bill) be signed into law, some of our members and friends might not be welcome in Indiana businesses might experience legally sanctioned bias and rejection once so common on the basis of race, they said in the letter.
Quit quoting people who belong to an anti-Christian sect and calling them Christian, MSM!
What a joke.
Same goes for mainline Lutheran and Episcopalian Churches that have admitted married gay and lesbian pastors based on “their” understanding of Scripture?
Following the Reformation, each group from Jim Jones to David Koresh and Benny Hinn and the “leaders” of the AME Church claim the right to crack open the pages of the Bible and offer their congregants “their” authoritative version of scripture. Whose to say?
Maybe these fools need to be reminded of something:
Matthew Chapter 7
21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
Eternity is a long time.
Other news articles on the subject report the same finding.
Balderdash! Reread the article that YOU posted here on FR and tell me that it's not horribly biased.
Can you do that or are you in the pocket of the homosexualists?
I think I’m entering the “get over it” stage, when it comes to defending religious liberty. I’m tired of virtually everything sliding to the left and the decadence becoming solidly mainstreamed, and I’m told to, “get over it”.
We stand for what we choose to stand for and Mike Pence is very brave to want to sign such traditional legislation. It will make not a whit of impact on the pants on fire types defending disgusting behaviors. Too much business is entirely disassociated from religious tenets to even begin to inconvenience the professional sin crusaders.
For a change, the other guy can go, “get over it”. Good for Pence.
Pocket of the homosexuals? That’s a riot for someone who has been posting articles in opposition to the Gay agendas for years.
By why is this so surprising given that many mainline Episcopalian and Lutheran Churches and congregations now admit married gay and lesbians pastors and “bishops” and defend this “faith” as scripturally sanctioned?
I don’t follow you. What is biased? The thread article is about Pence signing religious liberty legislation, and your problem is ..........? Whut?
Bravo! At the end of the day, the Catholic Church will be the last impregnable bastion on earth of true doctrine as reflected in the Credo, the Catechism, and the Magisterium with a history and infallibility of teaching traced all the way to Peter and his successors.
It's a propaganda piece against Pence and the conservative Christian worldview.
I urge you to read it again. Tell me what you think.
My beef is with the biased nature of the article. Pence did the right thing. The "journalist" who wrote the article, however, seems to be a hand-wringing leftist.
My take.
Ok, now I agree. Pence sure did the right thing. I thought you were making an excuse for the “Christian” group.
Let them go,
Let them go,
Tell them you don't care!
Amazing how intolerant of religious belief some religions get when they jump on the dysfunctional bandwagon
For the past 30 years or so, the media has peddled the notion that sexual minorities are the most victimized members of society. Plenty of evidence indicates that this is not the case at all, but bleeding-heart liberals prefer to ignore evidence. Instead, they well up with “compassion” for wealthy gay couples hell-bent on splashy wedding ceremonies, and they gleefully do their part to put struggling Christian bakers, florists and innkeepers out of business.
