taxpayers ultimately foot the bill for drug usage in both direct and indirect costsThe act of drug use in and of itself creates no bills; SOME drug users do things whose bills the taxpayers have CHOSEN, through their elected representatives, to foot.

The sudden stop is not chosen, through elected representative or otherwise.

The sudden stop is not chosen, through elected representative or otherwise. The "sudden stop" is a consequence of initiating the fall.

Pot is not the kind of drug that causes every cell in your body to scream out for more. It is not physically addictive. It is meth and heroin and cocaine/crack that cause you to do ANYTHING to find the funds for the next fix. I'm sure SOME pot using EBT card holders will sell them for that purpose, but it is nothing compared to the harder drugs.
It is amazing that you focus on pot in your comment, when it is FAR FAR FAR less harmful than alcohol, prescription drug abuse, or the harder drugs. It makes you seem like a single-issue moron.

In 1973 the American Psychiatric Society removed Homosexuality from the list of mental disorders. They did so because armies of queers would show up at their meetings and threaten them.
That opened a crack in what was a previously universal condemnation of an abnormal and very unhealthy practice. Do you see where it has gone from there?
Yes, i'm aware that weed is a minor drug compared to others, but this argument does not end with weed. It just begins with weed.
It makes you seem like a single-issue moron.
Then you obviously do not keep up with the diversity of topics I discuss. "Pot", is one of the least among them.

The "sudden stop" is a consequence of initiating the fall. By contrast, any bill the taxpayer foots is one he chose through his elected representatives to foot.

It's the fault of everyone and everything EXCEPT THE DOPE.

worthless parasites that make the rest of us carry their weight. No, they don't make us - their contribution is to accept the carrying that our elected representatives and their enforcement agents make us do.

You’re a small timer.
I’ve seen a 7-bagger on FR at least once, LOL.

Ofiicals say dealers give buyers a discount when using EBT cards, since they are better than cash. Can someone explain this? I always thought food stamps were typically sold on the black market for 60 cents on the dollar.

That’s the ‘old school’ way.
By keeping the card the dealer can go at his convenience or send someone else or re-sell it outright if he wants to drop the user-client.
