I don’t think Beck is crazy one bit.
He is very good at convincing crazy people to give him money, though.
To: stevie_d_64
has become disillusioned with the party in recent years over what he believes was its failure to stand up to the Obama administration He's only just now noticing that?

NO ONE would know about George Soros if not for him.Huh, you REALLY think that?
Beck probably found out about Soros at Free Republic.

Of course Beck is right. Many on FR have been saying this for a long time.
Republicans, unless they just so happen to also be conservative, are part of the problem.
I am registered Republican so I will have a say-so in primary elections. However, I don’t consider myself a Republican. I’m a conservative, and proud of it.

I'm with you in giving credit where credit is due. Some of Glenn's chalkboard lectures on the topics you mentioned were informative for me. At least he was trying to educate the masses on the problems all Americans face. He called the whole caliphate idea early and still brings up people I didn't know about and research further. Sure, he's not perfect, but seems to be basically a good and religious man. He also realizes
The Threat we Face, so I cut him a lot of slack.
We're all in the same fight. We need to hang together or we'll all hang separately.

Nope.
Wouldn’t kid about something as serious as losing the country.
Seems to be a more positive solution than brass and lead:-)

I’m not saying it will work necessarily - just saying that the idea has never been to convert the RINOs - it’s been to outnumber them in Congress and/or have a titular head of the party who is conservative (that would be a nominee/President as a conservative).
There are no guarantees, and yes, the allure and the aphrodesiac of power in DC is very powerful and corrupts many.

problem I see is many run as conservatives and aren’t. or change.
it’s so terribly frustrating!

Looks like Cardinal Sheehan, a great anti-communist Christian leader in the 1950s/60s. They dont make them like that any more. Youve got to be old like us to remember him and his tv appearances. That you do. I remember this Bishop Sheen show: "One of his best-remembered presentations came in February 1953, when he forcefully denounced the Soviet regime of Joseph Stalin. Sheen gave a dramatic reading of the burial scene from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, substituting the names of prominent Soviet leaders Stalin, Lavrenty Beria, Georgy Malenkov, and Andrey Vyshinsky for the original Caesar, Cassius, Marc Antony, and Brutus. He concluded by saying, "Stalin must one day meet his judgment." The dictator suffered a stroke a few days later and died within a week."
I was 9 at the time, (we just got a B/W 17" TV) but it was an early engram on the evils of communism. He was an excellent teacher. Kids just don't see this kind of thing these days. .
More Bishop Fulton J. Sheen

I agree and I have made the point before--he is difficult to listen to, follow his interminable rhetorical tangents, and just stay interested for any length of time. I dont listen anymore but hey, all power to him. If somebody can stand him let them listen as no one if forcing his voice on an unwilling ear.

I forget who it is without an exhaustive search, but there is a Freeper amongst us that claims to have been baptized by Bishop Sheen.

I'm waxing all philosophical tonight thinking of all those great TV shows that 'the kids' will never see, except maybe reruns of Gunsmoke. Guess it's a sign that I keep thinking of 'the good ole' days'. . Maybe it's because I worry so much about the future. . the big picture and all. .

he was squishy even when Sarah was running, and that election we could have pulled off....
I don't consider myself a republican any more, and I will never give to them, and haven't for sometime....
but if I take my name off the pub voting list, does it mean I can't vote in the primary?....I live in Washington state...

Four years ago I was with them," Beck said. "Four years ago I said, Work from the inside, lets change it, lets get new guys in there." Told you so, Glenn.
