Just remember that the Old Guard is still on post guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. They never leave their post. The men and women of the Old Guard deserve everyone’s respect!

Good! Close it down for a month and pay down the debt with whatever the civil servants should have been paid.

Obie stated :
“So if somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can. Its just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas thats being emitted.”
and the Huge Sums that coal power producers are being CHARGED for existant plants wont bankrupt them?

Couldn’t this have happened before they made Obama’s executive order legal (in the eyes of the courts) by funding it?

Not so different from the weather we had overnight here in the Pittsburgh area . . . and yet we all managed to make it into work.

My friend in the next office takes global warming as an established fact, and he is simply cannot comprehend my skepticism. To him, it’s as if I believed the world was flat. On Monday he brought me the front page of the Washington Post which had a mawkish piece about how the Eskimos somewhere in Alaska were losing their traditional way of life because of climate change. I’m sorry I told him, I’m just too emotional about what’s happened to those poor Eskimos to even talk about this right now, as I buried my head on my desk with theatrical sobbing.

The Federal Government, the schools and the commuter trains (Maryland) all closed before 4:00 a.m. The first flake did not fall until approximately 8:30 a.m. in the I-95 corridor. At this hour we have approximately 4 inches, yet the entire region is paralyzed.
Pathetic.

Do govt. workers still get paid when there is a snow emergency? It really is a major hassle for government workers, as they trudge to work in the snowstorm so that they can get shut-IN, to collect storm double- and over-time.
