It causes your body to release endorphins. It results in a feeling of pleasure.
It also makes food taste good when properly applied.
I have no problem eating spicy foods. It is the burning butt the next day that I don’t like.
Horsemeat isn't real popular according to a recent gallop poll.
My dad was a “meat & potatoes” man whose idea of bold experimentalism was adding pepper to his dish. As long as he had the salt shaker all was good. Naturally my mom catered to his tastes - even though she had a vastly more adventurous approach to food. Consequently I grew eating the same bland food.
I discovered salsa, peppers, and hot sauce when I was in my late teens and was instantly hooked. I’m one of those who puts Tabasco on everything (I buy directly from McIlhenny). Yes, I could live without them, but why? LOL
I find hot spices do a lot to cover the taste of eggs! (Hee hee)
Logic doesn’t have anything to do with it. I like spicy hot food because to me it tastes good.
As long as you don’t lose your voice, then the food’s not to hot. When I grew up, ketchup was the spicest” food I ate. Now, bring on the tears.
Yep, clears out sinuses too. I like hot and spicy soup when I’m sick (Chinese).
I yield to the superior pundit.
Oh yes, jalapenos do burn twice, going in and coming out!!!!!
Some homemade salsas are good to relieve sinus headaches. Had to seek a cure yesterday. Better than any prescription medicine.
What’s good is taking a good-size blob of yellow-mustard, dipping a toothpick into the insanity-sauce and then stirring the mustard w/ the toothpick... especially for hotdogs.
Remember if you are picking peppers, to wash your hands BEFORE going to the bathroom.
Just trying to “extend your remarks”...to prolong the horseplay.
LOL! I live up here with Norwegians and others who are genereally not fond of spicy foods. They would agree with your assessment of spaghetti sauce as salsa. I love spicy foods and I often cook with jerk seasonings, curry and other flavorful items. I dine alone a lot :-)
Haberneros, however, do not.
They just take you out on the intake.
Did you notice there are quite a few neigh-sayers on this. They probably have a problem with hot peppers giving them the trots.
